For the money, I'm pretty satisfied by these.
I like that these do work. No issue getting cameras and base unit to work together. I've got this displayed on a 32" screeen at all times and it's just fine.The cons that likely would have not stopped me from buying but still you should know....Scrubbing the video footage history (searching / sliding through previous video) is clunky. It's very hard to find a particular point in a video you're looking for. Just backing up a few minutes to view something can be a task. The system just doesn't have the power to search fluidly for a point in your recordings.I'm still trying to figure out how to export the video for use somewhere else. That might just be on me though.One of the cameras seem to be locked in black and white mode unless I reboot it. I think it's the physical action in the camera that happens when it goes from day to night that's on the fritz. Not horrible. Just annoying.

April 2020: Installed 5 months ago. App is worst app ever used. But they are slowly making improvements.The AVSS 1.6.1 Software stopped working. The 1.7.1 AVSS seems a little better than 1.6.1 (for example it works when I maximize the window. 1.6.1 did not ). Still buggy though - crashes a lot. Here are my thoughts that I sent Zosi 2 months ago.1. I recorded an incident a a couple times with 1.7.1. Some the the mp4 only play on VLC 2.2.6. Others only play on the latest VLC.2. Some the the mp4 record extremely fast - perhaps taking 5 seconds to watch a 10 second video. Others are very slow, taking 30 seconds to play a 10 second clip.3 The config settings for the drives locations are not Windows standards (at least not US ones) - "/" is used instead of "\".4. Both the iPhone app and the AVSS do not seem to handle daylight savings time. The DVR did not update to the correct time either. So a video taken at 2pm (with 2pm on the timestamps) will have 3pm on the files when they are created or viewed in the iphone app or on AVSS.5. Cancel is spelled wrong though out your AVSS system. "Cancel", not "Cancle".6. The paths are confusing. On one data path you must include "/AVSS". but on the other two paths, if you add "/AVSS" then are repeated and are created twice, one within the other.7. Ok, "Cancle", do not take you off the Config screen. You need to press the RED X to close the screen.8. The calendar on my pc cuts off half of the week showing only 4 days per week.9. The clock on the DVR gained 4 minutes in the 3 months I have used it. This seems terrible. Perhaps the DVR can update the time from the internet occasionally (like daily / weekly).10. On the cameras, the adjustment screws are tightened on so tight that you must loosen them before mounting the cameras as they are impossible to loosen once you are high up on a ladder.11. The adjustment screw at the "elbow" of the camera's arm needs to be longer. If you loosen it enough to change the angle, the parts all fall apart (while on the ladder)12. The passwords are confusing. Seems the userid is "Case Sensitive". This is not a standard behavior for in the english language. This is correct for passwords, but not correct for UserIds. This has caused me a lot of trouble in the 3 months before I figured out this issue.13. No current software available so difficult to send video to police or others. Recipients must find and install old version of VLC In order to view recording.Note when in stalling. My siding is white and I originally pointed the cameras where 1/3 of the image was the walls. The infrared was really bad. But I repointed them to no longer include the walls and the infrared became dramatically better. Perhaps the cameras light was reflecting back impairing the image.Also recording from the software is based on the quality of the device being used. If you use a lower resolution monitor you get a low resolution mp4. However if you record it using a 4K monitor like on my 4K TV, then you get a 4K video fileNow the vendor used to bug me to write a good review- hence the 4 stars. (Also the commingle reviews for this product with reviews for HDMI cables seems the good reviews are for the hdmi cable rather than this system).I gave them the above list and told them this was the reason I did not give them a review. That was months ago.After this weeks issues, it is time to review. I am now having a problem with 1 camera no longer in color (b&w works). Can’t tell if the issue is with the power supply or the camera. Zosi just sent me their website where I can buy replacement parts. So much for their 2 year warranty.Update 6/19/20. Zosi recently contacted me to resolve issue - replacing parts as necessary. I gave the system another reboot last week first without changing anything and the cameras have all been color for a week now.Updated 7/18. Last week the power adapter failed. Contacted Zosi and had a new one in my hand the next day. Been a week now and all cameras are working fine.They have now asked me to reconsider my review. Upping the review to 3 stars as they did come through with the replacement part quickly. The software is still buggy, the clock still gains a minute per month, DST not supported and it is a challenge to send video to police/others. On the plus side, the price for a four camera 4K system is good Andy am happy with the picture quality in boat daylight and infrared..

Great product, Easy Install
This is one of the best cameras systems I have installed. ( I have setup many for friends). Easy to configure and setup. Downloaded both the phone app and the AVSS pc app and they work great.Thanks for making a great product !

Waited On-Hold for 53 minutes, then Support demonstrated their incompentance.
After being on hold for over an hour, my wife complimented me on my patience. When I finally received a reply, I was put upon a logical and frustrating treadmill of nonsense. They ask to upload a picture and their uploading utility is not working. They ask me to set "obtain IP automatically", when I tell them it's the default setting for windows and that my machine showed automatic, they asked that I send a screen shot. I'll be skipping church this week because I've done my penance today. Very happy I started with the smaller unit. It's now an expensive monitor.

Strongly recommend!
Would give 5 star if the arm that holds the camera wasn’t so goofy. It has one joint that spin on 360 and one that goes up and down, should be two with 360!The software is kind of confusing, but I am sure Zosi will fix those problems soon 😊

Feel Safe at Nite.
Product far exceed my exceptions for picture quality at nite. The IR camera lights up the dark like its daytime!Installation was super easy, plug and play, system is a stand alone or connectable, also has mobile APP that is fully functional. I recommend this system to anyone looking for video monitoring with 24/7 recording and playback capabilities. Well made 5 Mp Cameras that are weather resistant and worth the money!

Terrible App and Software inteface.
I was excited to see a 4K h.265 system for this price. The camera image is fine but the app and software interface are terrible. I had a six year old HD system I replaced and it’s app was better. And that one was bad. ZosiSmart opens on IOS but the images are not live. You have to click on the image to see it live after waiting about 5 seconds while it connects. Playback has no audio on the app. The only way to get playback with audio is to go the DVR, use a USB Thumb drive (2.0 port is extremely slow). It took about ten minutes to copy a five minute clip from only one camera. Since you can’t get audio during playback, you are not sure you have the right time segment. Audio is just as important as video for security. The app crashes after I try to playback clips almost every time. The app search feature only works well when you type in the exact time and day. If you try to scrub the video, it has to reconnect each time. Most times it can’t reconnect. I’ve tried strong WiFi and cellular. Both are glitchy. The Mac App is bad too. You can only have it save to a thumb drive with audio. I’m returning mine. They need to redesign the apps and PC interface. Should be super easy to search and save clips. Bummer.
