With this corded R3 you can take as long as you like shaving, no batteries to run down
This review is for the cheap and cheerful R3 corded electric razor, the R4 and R5 are battery versions. I got fed up with recharging my Remington (and over the years other brands) to have a shave. Batteries obviously wear down and I'm thinking has this got enough left for one more shave, frequently the power evaporates before I've finished. No problem with this corded version and by the way, it has a two-pin bathroom shave socket plug. Buy a three-pin adapter plug if you want to use the shaver elsewhere in your home. Constant power and I can take as long as I like. For the last few years I've used battery shavers with two straight cutting heads but I've noticed after using the R3, with the three circular cutters, for a few days it actually gives a closer shave, especially along the jawline. Some battery razors cost well over a hundred pounds, this R3 is just a bit less than thirty, a bargain in my opinion. Easy to clean as well.

Excellent
The shaver came on time and packed well. It's not heavy an nice to hold more importantly I was very surprised how close it shaved, you'll never match a blade with any razor.I shaved with 5 days growth which to be fair is too long for a shaver but did a good job, I bought it to have a quick shave every couple of days and have a blade shave once a week, I'm very sensitive around the neck and there was hardly any redness shaving every couple of days, there is a nack to using any electric shaver and I think it takes a couple of weeks to get it bang on, me personally i have to be a bit more gentle around the neck. I had a very expensive shaver years ago and it ripped my neck apart every shave so I'm genuinely very happy with this one, easy to clean and I like how the head stays attached when doing so, still to use the 3 day stuble look attachment so that should be good, a good extra to give you options and the trimmer works as it should, so I'm very happy with this shaver and for the price it didn't break the bank, as from experience its about getting one that works for you rather than expensive is better.

Look for something else
Normally I don't bother with reviews, but after buying this as an Amazon deal last week, I felt inspired to write one.The shaver comes well packed and looks smart enough, but once out of the packaging starts to disappoint (apart from being fully charged on arrival). As others have mentioned, the cheap plastic body is unnaturally light, giving no weight behind the shaver. Pressing the power button starts up a ridiculous high pitched whirring of the blades as if the shaver wants to take off or start hoovering your carpets - people say the F1 cars sound like hoovers, they should try out this! The placement of the button for the pop-up detail trimmer is unbelievable, having accidentally pressed it at least half a dozen times whilst shaving - did anyone try out this infernal device before marketing it?The 3 day stubble styler offers a rugged look but it ends up more as out of control fungal growth, so I would recommend those tempted to steer clear of this gimmick. After just a week of use, the magical dual-track blades are already starting to tug and pull at hairs, suggesting the blades used are as cheap as the plastic body. So much so that halfway through a shave I had to put this down and return to my old Philips shaver, which I will be sticking with!If I hadn't been so eager to recycle the packaging, I would return the shaver (perhaps I shouldn't have been so trusting in Remington). As it is, it has a choice of being consigned to my other useless electricals or making it to the electrical recycling!

Very Quiet in Operation and Well Made
This Remington is much quieter than my previous Remington Microscreen 2 oscillating shaver. Initially I was rather disappointed in that it did not seem to give as smooth a shave. I have pesevered with it and it is improving perhaps it needs to bed in. I would say now after about 2 weeks use that it is much better, still not quite as good and takes alittle longer to shave with it I am hoping that it will improve further. It is well made and looks identical to the much more expensive Philips model.
