Message in a Bottle: Fun Science Experiments to Help Save the Oceans While Learning About the Global Waterways

Great fun for grandsons ages 6 and 10! Only recommendation would be better instructions as to how to melt the wax and attach it to the bottle for sealing. You were left on your own to figure it out ~ thank heavens for google! We sent it out to the ocean from Hilton Head, SC. Hope someone finds it someday!Jenny B.

This is a well thought out book and kit by an oceanographer to help us all learn about the ocean,currents, etc. Great gift!

Just wondering if this is biodegradable? I assume since its affiliated with the Woods Hole Institute that it is, but I don't see anything about it in the description. I'd like to know if, should I buy this, I'll essentially be littering in the ocean. Anyone know?Assuming this is not going to result in even more marine pollution, I think it's a great idea.

My son LOVES this book! I'm a fan of any book that gets kids excited about learning, and my son couldn't get enough of the plethora of information within the pages of the book. He wanted to learn all about the waterways of the world to find out where his message will end up and when.It is so much more than a book, too! It contains a bottle with a cork cap, a map of the world's water systems, wax to seal the bottle, and even a waterproof pen! Such a great little kit -- so fun, informative, and innovative! I recommend it to all!
