These are very good heavy foam, full size balls. They do a good job resisting the wind and travel less than half the distance of a regular ball. Very good for a large backyard. They work well with the Franklin Sports MLB Power Pitcher Pro Pitching Machine and will be good for regular manual oitch baseball or practice in a limited space. At four or five dollars each, in my opinion, they are much too expensive.

My baseball loving kid loves to throw these around the house! Soft enough to not do damage!

Of all the plastic and foam baseballs I have tried, these are the very best for pitching machines that I have found. They look the most realistic, are just the right hardness (soft but not too soft), are durable, and produce the most consistent results in terms of pitch velocity and location. A runner-up and good budget choice would be the Tucker Crush-it foam balls Tucker Toys Crush It High Performance Foam Baseballs - 2 Pack - especially if you watch the price - you can get them for almost half of the Franklins. You get what you pay for, and I think that these Franklins are worth the extra few dollars.

I’ve bought this so many times because my boys love them! They look like baseballs but are so soft and won’t break anything or hurt anyone!

I bought these hoping to use them instead of baseballs while I taught my little one catch. It's not heavy enough to substitute for a baseball.
