With pages full of tummy-tempting foods, the books in the World Snacks series are a delicious way to introduce even the littlest eaters to cuisines from all around the globe. Review: Cute book, one of our favorites - We really love this book. Our only complaint is that it switches back and forth randomly between Cantonese and English so that's a little odd. Why call it 'don tot' and 'siu mai' but then switch to 'scallion pancakes' instead of 'Chung yao beng'? But it's a cute little book with cheerful illustrations and a fun rhythm and we are delighted to have it in our little library. Review: We just love this book series - We just love this book series, my kids have adored these books since they were about a year old. We're now buying a second set for a friend's baby shower. They're a great gift to buy for others as they're a little more unusual and it's unlikely someone else will show up with the same thing. My kids also happily eat almost anything these days and I certainly think it helps that no food was too foreign to them thanks to this series!

I heart dim sum! :)
I purchased two of the "World Snacks" board books by Amy Wilson Sanger (this, and the First Book of Sushi (World Snacks) book), after seeing the dim sum book at the Lan Su Chinese Garden gift shop in Portland, OR. When I discovered that Amazon.com had both the dim sum book AND a sushi book, I just had to get both for my daughter. I don't know about her, but I personally love the graphics in each book and the cute stories that go along with them! I'd recommend these to anyone who wants a "favorite food" book for their little one. :)

My daughetrs favorite book
I checked this out from the library with a stack of other books. I am alwasy trying new books for my daughter who can not get enough of us readsing to her. Well she loves this book. We have to read it every night before bed. She pretends to eat the food off the page and learned to say "Yum Yum," and "little bit of heart." fromt his story. I can not recommend it enough! Our copy had to go back to the library, so I am ordering one from amazon today. I know my daughter can;t wait for it to arrive.

Such a cute book!
We purchased this book because our daughter is half Chinese (my husband is Chinese) and we love eating dim sum! This book is absolutely adorable! Amy Wilson Sanger does an incredible job creating dim sum treats out of paper and other materials to make the images come alive on page! I love reading this book to our 6 month old daughter, who is so fascinated by the pretty colors and sing-songy words. This is sure to be a favorite of hers when she's older!

A cute little book for lovers of chinese food
If like me you go bonkers for good "real" Chinese food, this book is a nice way to share that with your small friends. The art is very iconic, bright paper folded to look like the foods being described. The poetry is a little forced but as kid's books go it isn't bad -- and besides, they're talking about some of my favorite foods!

can i give it 7 stars? THIS IS OUR FAVE SERIES!
i can't write in all caps, but this series of baby books from amy wilson sanger are our absolute favorite. i have all 7, and give them as gifts to lucky friends. so funny, so cute, so creative and a great way to learn about world foods, really. my older daughter likes to read the dessert sections to our baby and we have even experimented with some of the foods. A MUST HAVE FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES!

Always read the small print, don’t just look at the review score
Always read the small print !!! I thought it was a dim sum recipe book.... it’s not! Great if your three years old though...😂

Visually appealing!
While I found the Author's sushi book to be most visually stimulating for babies' eyes (my baby is 4 months old) because of the high contrast colours used, I still enjoyed the more muted colours of this book. I agree that a pronounciation guide might have been helpful, I finally know what a BBQ-pork steam bun is called in Chinese (I think Cantonese). I'm sure my daughter and I will continue to enjoy this book in the future when she can actually read!

This colourful, joyous board book was my toddler nephew’s favourite read.
He loved bringing it with him when my family went out for a dim sum lunch.

Great food intro book.
Cute book to introduce dim sum. I bring the book with me to read and show the real food to my baby and it once got a thumbs up approval from the waiter :) the rhymes and bright colours are attention grabbing.
