Healthy Blocks

I've been buying these for my pet squirrel since he found us when he was a baby. I trust Henrys with all my squirrel food needs. I love that these are made fresh in small batches. I know when my squirrel gets two or three of these a day along with a healthy diet he is getting all the calcium (extremely important for pet squirrels) and nutrients that he needs to thrive indoors. My squirrel absolutely loves the way these taste and gets excited every time he knows it's time for a Henrys Healthy Block. You get a good amount of blocks for the price so they are definitely a good value for the money. If you're looking for an excellent way to keep your pet squirrel healthy then I would definitely recommend Henrys Healthy Blocks.

See edit at bottom: I love giving my squirrel a block that is healthy and that practically ensures protection against metabolic bone disease. I used a combo of this and Oxbow Young Mouse and Rat block which is harder and helps wear down the teeth. I have only ordered twice, but have had two issues. The first is that there seemed to be a distinct difference in size of the block from the first bag to the second bag. The first bag had larger blocks where the second had smaller blocks. It wasn't a huge difference, but it was noticeable. The bigger issue is that the second bag didn't last as long. The first bag had no issues whatsoever. The second was fine until yesterday when I noticed that only halfway through the bag the rest of the blocks were moldy, despite beig refrigerated immediately upon arrival. Now I can't use the entire second half of the bag. The product is high quality and provides squirrels with necessary nutrients (please be careful with what you feed squirrels - at home or in the wild). But I am frustrated at the mold. I will continue to order because the benefits outweigh even the literal cost. I just wonder if it's rare for this to occur or not. —————- I edited my rating from 4-5 stars. I buy these every month. Shipping is incredibly fast. My eastern gray *loves* these blocks. I freeze them now, per instructions on the package. This helps prevent spoilage. I’ve been using these regularly and couldn’t imagine changing. Highly recommend.

This is the right stuff! I have 2 orphan squirrels that are taking formula and need some soilds and nutrients. This is great they are eating it up and I probably gonna buy another bag. The 4 stars was for the price of this. Please cut the price down a bit. I have other squirrels in different trees with babies , these are good for her too.

Henry’s Healthy Blocks is an alternative nutritional everyday diet for your backyard friends! This product is made specifically for picky eaters who refuse to eat alternative block food such as Mazuri Blocks and was recommended to me through multiple squirrel rehabilitation websites. I have had personal experience with this product for about the last 5 months. I have rehabilitated two southern grey squirrels and one southern flying squirrel. I transitioned all three of them off of formula by using Henry’s Healthy Blocks, they absolutely love them and are thriving. Although it may be a little expensive it is definitely worth the purchase. The blocks are cooked fresh and are you required to freeze immediately upon arrival for your animal’s health. I highly recommend this product for your squirrel baby’s.

I was skeptical purchasing this product because of the not knowing if my backyard squirrels would eat it and because of the expense. I want my critters to have more nutritional food than just peanuts, which I have decreased peanuts to just a small amount which I mix in with walnuts and shelled pumpkin seeds. Well, they love the blocks, and will grab them first. I keep them in the freezer and set a couple out to thaw a little before I put them out when I see the squirrels are out on my deck. I break them in 1/2 or thirds. That way I know they are eaten right away and not sitting out in the heat. I will DEFINITELY purchase again. And, I feel good that my little critters are getting something nutritional. :)

Squirrels and chipmunks love them! Only downside is the very high shipping rates due to the fact they have to be shipped in a refrigerated truck.
