STAR BRITE Teak Oil, Premium Teak Care & Restoration

This kit is SO effective. My 89 Centurion swim platform was looking rough and weathered, this kit brought it back to life. Easy to use, plenty of product, very durable, the coloring was excellent and they came with no leaks. I cant recommend this enough for teak. It truly is magic in a bottle. Its been about 3 months now I the water and still looks like new. I did about 4 coats of oil.

Really great product. I cleaned my furniture first with soap and water to get rid of pollen and other debris. I sanded down all of the areas with fine sanding paper. After I washed and sanded the furniture, I moved on to the teak cleaner. I scrubbed with a scrubbing brush and water, I let it sit for 5 minutes, and rinsed off. After the furniture dryed, I then applied the brightener with a scrubbing brush and water. I let the brightener sit for about 5 minutes and I rinsed it off, by this time, we was very impressed with the results from the first 2 products. After the furniture was dried, I started applying the oil. The Chairs were in really bad shape, so it took me 5 coats to get the teak to come back alive. The table was in better shape, and that only took 3 coats. All together it too me about one and half hour per chair from beginning to end, and the table took me about 2 hours. In total I spent about 14 hours all together out of 3 days. I am very happy with the results. I used a gallon and a half of the oil, the other 2 products I only used the ones that come with the kit.

I bought this a few months ago to clean up some older teak furniture, and it actually worked better than I expected. The cleaner loosened up all the grime without much scrubbing, and the brightener brought the color back really nicely. It didn’t feel too harsh either, which I was a little worried about at first. The oil is probably my favorite part—it soaks in well and leaves the wood looking rich and healthy without feeling overly greasy. Everything was easy to apply and didn’t take a ton of time or effort. I don’t usually enjoy doing this kind of upkeep, but this kit made the whole process way less of a hassle. It didn’t feel like a big project, and the results were obvious. If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it—especially if you’ve got teak that’s starting to look a little tired.

While the product really works as advertised, it took me almost two full days to get to the promised finished. The one thing that is not mentioned in any review is that the cleaning process produces a gray slime that sticks to concrete and needs to be removed when you're done. That was the toughest part of the job. The teak looked great after 5 coats of oil but this was a big deal to use. Don't start if you don't have time and a lot of water.

Great system for cleaning and preserving teak wood. I used it on my shower stool. The stool was extremely dirty with mold on the underside. I scrubbed it with a brush and soap. I used the system and left it outside to dry in the sun before using the oil. I have treated it twice before putting it back into my shower. It smells so much better

All of the products in this kit worked great to restore an outdoor table and six chairs which almost look brand new again. Problem is we didn't use the first two bottles (the cleaner and restorer) because we washed everything first with plain old soap and water with a generous splash of bleach and the recommended stainless steel scrubbers which are great. That cleaned the furniture up nicely and even removed the mold. We took that step to extend how far the cleaner in the kit would go, but after using the cleaner, once our original wash job was dry, the cleaner didn't seem to improve the appearance, so we skipped it and moved on to the restorer bottle. The restorer seems to be mostly oxalic acid (wood bleach) which you can probably buy cheaper at a hardware store or elsewhere on Amazon. Since our first wash job cleaned everything up so well, the restorer didn't seem to enhance the look of our furniture so stopped there and moved on to the last step - applying the teak oil. The teak oil worked great and we even ordered a second bottle as the table still seems thirsty for it, but if you want to save some money you should wash your items first with soap, water, and a splash of bleach. If you like that look, just order the teak oil separately - especially since you may need a second bottle if your items are many or large as ours were.

I picked this product based on the reviews and I have to tell you, I'm so happy I did! It's a great product. Easy to use and amazing results! I took my old, gray teak outdoor table and made it look brand new. People are stunned by the result and I'm taking all the credit! 🤣 It doesn't go as far as you would think it does, though. I used pretty much all of the 32oz bottle to revive my 10 ft long table. I bought another kit just to finish 8 chairs. Just make sure you get enough for your particular needs.

I have a small black water spot on my teak sideboard that I knew needed more than just the oil. I started with the cleaner, which did little. I then tried the brightener. It brightened alright. Now the spot is much lighter and the surrounding area is as it was. We purchased the funiture in the 70's along with plenty of oil. Oiled the furniture faithfully for years and less so until we ran out many years ago. Bought something that I thought was similar about 10 years ago and used it on the dining room table. It had some sort of finish - it wasn't the oil I thought it was. This works like the old oil we used before. As a note to others with old teak furniture, if you cared for it well for the first few years you may not need to oil it. I found that the teak surface doesn't soak in much, if any. And the look doesn't change. After all these years, when I lifted the protective vinyl and flannel cloth off the dr table, that old yucky finish isn't' yucky any more.

Brought our teak table back to life. It takes some elbow grease but it’s worth it.

The product is a great product but I had to track down my package. It was not delivered to my house, it was dropped off at a depot without any notice or email. The product is half the size as the on I bought in the USA and over double the price. They use the same pictures as the bigger bottles but you need to read the fine print. This will be m first and last purchase from this supplier.

We used it to refinish our Teak Coffee and End Tables. Worked great!

Ordered three bottles, one was empty, one was missing and the third was damaged. Would not recommend.
