STAR BRITE Teak Oil, Premium Teak Care & Restoration

We had a couple of sets of Adirondack chairs and footstools that were in terrible shape. No one wanted to sit on them because they were just so yucky. They were all weathered and had more black than grey on them. The first picture is taken right after I put the Cleaner on. I used the recommended stainless steel pad to scrub everything off. I waited a few minutes after spraying and I could not believe all the gunk that was coming off of the chairs and footstools. I had to use a little elbow grease in a few spots, but it took minimal effort to get the furniture to look like the second picture. I used the Brightener (didn't take a picture) and it did take the clean look up a notch. I was tempted to skip this step, but am glad I didn't. It gave the furniture a more golden hue. The last picture is after I used the Teak Oil. I ended up using spray nozzles for all 3 of the phases and it made application so much easier. I would probably use a brush or paint sponge the next time I oil the furniture, since mine just sucked up the oil and I ended up going over the pieces twice. I think the sponge would have put more oil on without making it run all over. I am ordering more oil so I can do the large bench on the front patio (I still have enough of the other 2 products to do the bench). I also wet the furniture down before I sprayed the Cleaner and Brightener on and also wet the scrubber periodically as I was scrubbing. Just stop thinking about it and put this item in your shopping cart! You won't be disappointed.

Great system for cleaning and preserving teak wood. I used it on my shower stool. The stool was extremely dirty with mold on the underside. I scrubbed it with a brush and soap. I used the system and left it outside to dry in the sun before using the oil. I have treated it twice before putting it back into my shower. It smells so much better

Good product provided and excellent finish would be better allowed using a spray bottle which is what I used.

I bought this a few months ago to clean up some older teak furniture, and it actually worked better than I expected. The cleaner loosened up all the grime without much scrubbing, and the brightener brought the color back really nicely. It didn’t feel too harsh either, which I was a little worried about at first. The oil is probably my favorite part—it soaks in well and leaves the wood looking rich and healthy without feeling overly greasy. Everything was easy to apply and didn’t take a ton of time or effort. I don’t usually enjoy doing this kind of upkeep, but this kit made the whole process way less of a hassle. It didn’t feel like a big project, and the results were obvious. If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it—especially if you’ve got teak that’s starting to look a little tired.

I have three 80 year old steamer chairs that needed some TLC. I’ve had them for twenty five years and have only cleaned them once, no oil. I watched a YouTube video from many different experts. But since I don’t have a boat with teak and we live in the desert. These products seemed to be the right option. I bought the set of 3-32oz bottles set. One cleaner, one brightener, and one teak oil. I also bought 2 spray bottles, about 12 1” foam brushes, a Starbright stainless steel pad and their red scrubbing pad. It took a day to clean, brighten and dry all 3 chairs and it used about 2/3 of each bottle for the 3 chairs. Oiling all 3 chairs took about an hour and a half each. I did 2 coats with 48 hours in between, as they were thirsty. I also did not wipe down the first application but did after the second. It took 1-32oz. bottle of Teak Oil plus another 1/8 of a second 32 oz bottle (4 oz.). The rest will be used this fall when I sand everything and re-oil. This product works great but you can buy it in two steps (same brand) at Lowe’s. I originally bought the three step on Amazon to try it and when I ran out I checked Lowe’s and found the cleaner and brightened comes as one product. This cut down on time quite a bit. Also, it was so much cheaper. I bought two bottles of the cleaner/brightener and two bottles of the teak oil and it was still quite a bit less than buying one set of the products on Amazon. Also, TSP works just as well for the cleaning step if you have it on hand. Be prepared to use some elbow grease regardless of the product you use and a spray bottle or mister for application was a great recommendation I found in the reviews. (I went with three stars only based on the high price on Amazon)

Brought our teak table back to life. It takes some elbow grease but it’s worth it.

The product is a great product but I had to track down my package. It was not delivered to my house, it was dropped off at a depot without any notice or email. The product is half the size as the on I bought in the USA and over double the price. They use the same pictures as the bigger bottles but you need to read the fine print. This will be m first and last purchase from this supplier.

We used it to refinish our Teak Coffee and End Tables. Worked great!

Ordered three bottles, one was empty, one was missing and the third was damaged. Would not recommend.
