Grandpa's Soap Pine Tar 4.25 oz (Pack of 4)

alright everyone this soap is amazing. I have been using it for about a month and here are my thoughts. I must admit that I was a bit scared when I opened the box and was hit with a very strong campfire smell. This was not what I thought I had gotten myself into. After the first use I was slightly insecure that I smelled ... but, even though i could smell it nobody else did!. After the second use this scent started to diminish. By the third use the smell had changed to a charred ceder smell which i find very appealing. now i love the scent. As a soap the lather is the best that I have ever used. It lathers white and is very thick. I use a washcloth and the soap lathers very well and stays on the washcloth. I never need to reapply. As a shaving "cream" it works so/so... I shave in the shower and while this works (and i use it daily now) it is slightly sub par to a traditional shaving cream/gel. But, from a cost savings perspective its 5 stars because Im no longer buying those products. For skin problems this has been a godsend. I have eczema and it drives me almost mad with itching and painful spots on my legs. This soap not only calmed down the skin, but it has moisturized it so that I dont feel the urge to scratch. The quality of life improvement from this is worth 5/5 by itself. long story short .. buy the stuff. suck it up and use it for a week even though it stinks.. by the end of the week you will be loving it.

This soap has an interesting and unusual fragrance. And that is partly why I purchased it , having read other reviews and noted the ingredients of the soap. It's a strong enough scent but it's not overpowering. I love its fragrance which is earthy and mellow. I dont much care if I smell as if I've been sitting round a campfire ! I didn't myself get it for a skin problem but it makes me feel very cleansed and I think it's doing my skin good anyway. I like the fact that it's vegan too. I will definitely be buying it again.

Ottimo prodotto. Per me che soffro di psoriasi lo trovo delicato e adatto alla mia pelle sensibile. L'odore di cenere sparisce dopo un po', quindi non rappresenta un problema e con il passare del tempo ci si abitua

Das neue AXE Duschgel riecht nach purer Männlichkeit. Richtig? FALSCH! Wenn du riechen willst, wie deine Mutter, warum benutzt du dann nicht einfach ihr Duschgel? Du könntest dir allerdings auch endlich einen verdammten Bart wachsen lassen und dich mit vernünftiger Seife für Männer waschen und riechen wie ein Lagerfeuer im feuchten Herbstwald. Also worauf zur Hölle wartest du noch? Diese Seife ist der Hammer! Ihr rauchiger Geruch passt perfekt zu meinem Bart, meinem Flanellhemd und meiner Axt, und sauber macht sie auch noch. Trotzdem ist der Geruch, der am Körper bleibt, dezent genug, um nicht aufdringlich zu sein. Die Haut wird zudem nicht ausgetrocknet, und das, obwohl ich zu sehr trockener Haut neige, die selbst von einem "feuchtigkeitsspendenden" Duschgel von Nivea nicht beeindruckt ist. Was mir außerdem gefällt, und weswegen ich mir die Seife hauptsächlich gekauft habe, ist, dass sie vollkommen natürlich ist. Kein Parfüm, Keine Chemie - so muss das sein! Und da diese Rezension sehr an das männliche Geschlecht gerichtet war, hier ein Wort an die Damen: Wenn ihr auf naturprodukte steht und zum Männermagneten werden wollt, ist diese Seife ein Geheimtipp für euch! ;)

Old fashioned soap for sensitive skin. Pine tar soap is the best for my dry skin and this soap is the best pine tar soap I've ever had. I am reordering those all the time
