We like to treat our children with books, small games and craft presents during our summer holidays. This book we brought along for our seven year-old son while crossing five European countries. He has recently learnt about the main UK places and geography at school but this book got more detail and presents the material very well. We already have the whole collection of History books in this series, that are highly recommended. But the Geography editions are no less interesting and similarly well done. There are very clear maps and colourful illustrations on each page. And the narrative is very clear even though concise. All topics are logically arranged over clear chapters. We use the book for guided reading, but our son often reaches for it as a reference. He has learnt quite a bit from it. Highly recommended.

This is a good informative book but it doesn't cover the north west of England for some reason. 🤔

Great for all

My 11 year old has learned so much from this book and I honestly couldn't fault it. It was only when he said that he would have benefited from some of the information being broken down into smaller sections that I thought perhaps it could do with further simplification.
