Works great and so cool that it's a drawer! Purchased for our wet bar and gives it a high-end look. The touch controls are sensitive meaning you have to touch just right or they dont respond. The popcorn cooks better in this microwave than our Bosch!

It’s the most I’ve ever spent on microwave after electrical and cabinet modifications but the counter space we gained is priceless. Took out an OTR for a proper hood vent and needed a place for the microwave and overall heard good things. So far so good.

This Sharp microwave drawer is super convenient and easy to use in my new kitchen. It opens smoothly and fits nicely into the kitchen without crowding the counter. Heats food quickly and makes everyday cooking a bit more enjoyable.

My friend recommended this model and has had no issues with her unit. My unit arrived and was stored until the new kitchen cabinets were installed. Box was not damaged, unit is not damaged. Once installed, I couldn’t wait to use the new microwave. The drawer opens and closes smoothly as expected. However, it doesn’t heat. I tried multiple items and then called Sharp. We walked through the troubleshooting steps and water did not heat in the 3 minute test. I was very disappointed of course. I still had my old microwave thankfully. I have spent most of my working career in the customer service field so I believe in allowing companies to make things right with the customer. We truly all have defects or mistakes at times. After multiple calls to Sharp customer service - very nice agents and always courteous- I got an offer to have a new unit- same model- shipped and they would pick up the defective model. I accepted the offer but 7 weeks later, still no microwave. Sharp did reach out today and confirm the shipping company is showing the unit lost in transit. They are expediting a new unit to me. I will update this review once I receive that unit. Update- 4 months later- new unit is working like a charm. Very happy with my purchase. Thank you Sharp for taking care of replacing an initial bad unit, then a second unit lost in shipping. Third time was a charm for me. I finally have my old microwave away 😊.

So far so good. Installation was not difficult and I really like the control panel, simple and not full of settings we'll never use. It is hidden until you open it and then it tilts up to face you as you stand up. My only problem is it was so expensive, I really don't understand why drawer microwaves have to cost so much more.

I like the overall design. It installed easily. I especially liked the tilting control panel that made it easy to use no matter what your height. That said... It doesn't last (less than 2 years). There is some sort of "arcing" defect that manifests over time. Microwaves arcing? Burning Electrical smell? Is it s fire hazard? I'm not a technical person, but it doesn't sound safe to me. Once it occurred, I of course called the number listed on the materials. Welcome to Kafka-ville. I was asked to fill out their lawsuit claim form and submit documentation. Also, they then sent out someone to look at the microwave and take photos. Ok, not a problem. Now, it has been ~3 months and they will not let me know what will be done about it. Not denying my warranty claim, just "No decision". Thus, my options are to continue to wait with no microwave, or just give up and buy a new one. Given the cost, I continue to wait. I do hear that ULINE makes a comparable microwave. Also, unlike other brands of drawer microwave, this one is not manufactured by Sharp and thus shouldn't suffer from the same defect. If their support and the defect get fixed, then this is an awesome microwave. Until then, you are taking a bet with your money (and I wonder, with your health and welfare). 03-07-2021 Update: Well, Sharp finally made a decision to replace my drawer microwave and called me to let me know. Great! The issue is resolved and a replacement will be sent in 7 to 10 days. Today, I am now assuming that they meant 7 to 10 business days....or longer. I will call them again tomorrow as it is now going on the third week and there has been no subsequent communication. (Each time I call, they ask for and confirm my email address, my phone number, etc. The front line folks are very pleasant as they follow the script.) 07/07/2024 So far, so good. The microwave is working well! Now that I have a unit without the arcing issue, I once again really like the microwave. So good to have the counter space (no microwave sitting on counter) and to have a good oven vent (no hard to reach microwave about the stove with a wimpy recirculating fan).

Absolutely love this thing! The hidden controls keep my 2 yr old grandbaby from accidentally turning it on. Works wonderfully in my new house! Would buy it again and again. So easy to use and clean! Just slide it in your cabinet and plug it in! Best appliance purchase I made for my new house!!!!

Love this microwave so much it’s a little pricey, but for what I wanted, it works perfectly I wasn’t gonna go out to another brand since sharp is the one that has the they’re the ones that make the inside so I wanted to go with the best

One of my favourite appliances. What I like is not having to deal with a door when removing hot items and not dealing with an overhead appliance. They are quite a bit more expensive but we'll worth it. So easy to use just push the open button and the drawer slides open push again to close or gently push drawer to close. The control panel folds into the appliance making it flush with the cupboard.
