This was a direct fit for my OEM Honda 17211-ZL8-023 air filter (has the green filter paper and black rubber - this one is white/orange as shown). I originally bought this same filter from a big-box home store, but saw this for about 50% less so I returned it unopened. It was in a cardboard blister pack, this one is in a plastic Honda labeled bag but was shipped in a cardboard box. Filter came perfectly fine, excellent condition. My mower was running HORRIBLY even though I had removed/disassembled/cleaned the carburetor over winter. Also, before shutting it down for the Winter, I cleaned out the old air filter as I always do - slapped out all the dirt and debris many times. But stupid me didn't realize it was clogged at the microscopic level, even though it looked clean and had no visible debris. The filter was about five years old. I'll never make this mistake again - I guess you can get maybe two or three years out of one, but not five. Bottom line, this is genuine and is a great price.

I've had my Honda lawnmower for over 14 years and it still runs like a top - first pull every time. I change the engine oil regularly, sharpen the blade annually, clean after use and store inside. It's getting harder to find parts as Honda chose to stop making gas powered lawn mowers in 2023 and they just produce electric ones now. Nice to see parts are still available for the gas models, besides the air filter I changed out the exhaust muffler, again Honda OEM. Great Honda products. Get them while you still can!
