So, background, I'm an ex-brit now living in America and for the life of me I have no idea why these aren't available all over. In England, pop to the store and there they are, supermarket, corner shop, chemists/pharmacy.. there they are... America... I see tumbleweeds blowing through the aisles.... ridiculous. These are, yes, expensive compared to England but they're harder to get so comparatively I guess the price is what I have to do. I love the feel of a sponge compared to those other mesh things or cloths.... squeeze a bit of wash on the sponge, add water and get lovely squishy soapy lather to clean yourself with... when you're finished run water through it until it's clear then put aside for next use. These are well made, the exfoliate side is firm enough to scrub away dead cells but not so much that you're left red raw, and the other side is good for those parts that you don't want to scrub harshly. They're well made and I don't know about you but I only tend to use mine for about a month then use another one, about that time it's starting to peel a little and soften on the exfoliating side, but that is what happens to all sponges. As long as you keep rinsing it after use it's clean and good for next time, with building up any bacterial residue. I definitely recommend these and will buy again.

I love these bath sponges! One side is just a bit scratchy, without being to harsh, so it's perfect for exfoliating dead skin. It's size is also wonderful. It is a bit larger than the "poofy" bath things made from mesh, but not so large as to be clumsy to use. I am a large guy with big hands, so I really love that it doesn't feel like I bathing with a tiny cotton ball. For an average sized person, I think it's just large enough to feel luxurious, without being too large and clumsy to use. The sponge sucks up lots of water, so it doesn't dry quickly, so I'd be cautious about using them daily without laundering. It would likely mildew and grow germs if you tried to let it air dry between uses like a bath brush. Since they are very affordable, I'm planning to order more and treat them like a washcloth and launder them between uses. They work perfect this way since the soft side of the sponge is gentle for your face or other tender areas, and the rough side is great for your feet and other areas you want to exfoliate. I love to bathe with Dr. Bronner's liquid soap with peppermint, and this sponge holds the soap really well so it stays saturated and bubbly while showering without needing to apply more soap midway though.

I can not do without these sponges they exfoliate you so you do not have to use a jar of scrub. You just use your soap and you are clean and exfoliated at the same time. This has strong exfoliating so these sponges are not weak but extremely good quality.

When I lived in the UK I used Ramer Sponges every day. Can't find those in the USA. The soft side of these body sponges is soft and gentle, very much like the Ramer ones. The coarse side I only use for the bottom of my feet. I really like these!

Can't live without these. They are my favourite exfoliating sponges to use. I feel very clean when using be rougher white side. I have ordered a few times now.
