Fish Floater Life Hacks
So, I bought this cute little fish that we named Jeffrey to chlorinate our new spa and we immediately started having the same issues that every other 1-star review was having... Dead fish floating on his side not really doing his job but I knew he still looked cute and had a lot of potential. I treated this situation like I would treat an employee with skills who just needs a little motivation to step up and be a rockstar. (Even rockstars fall off the stage every now and then.) The engineers over at Milliard didn’t give this guy a fair shake in the design process, so I found a very precisely calibrated instrument in the backyard (in the form of a concrete rock) to add to the mix to weigh him down a little. That didn’t give us the results we wanted... So we threw a Hail Mary and added a second rock (once again, found in the backyard but you can use any rocks from any location like the beach, the road, a construction site, blah, blah, blah) to the mix and Jeffrey is on fire chlorinating the spa like there is no tomorrow. I even take him out sometimes when the free chlorine gets too high. Jeffrey is everything I ever expected out of a chlorinating fish and more!! The kids love him and he always has that grin on his face like he just ate the cat (the same face the cat would have if he ate the fish). So, ignore these bad reviews and buy you a Jeffrey and go ahead and order a set of balls for him too... My only complaint is that he doesn’t come with his own pair. Happy hot tubbing!

Perfect chlorinator
So cute and works great! 2 3-inch chlorine tabs fit great in this fish. I’ve had it in my pool for about 2 weeks now, and my chlorine levels are always perfect. When the chlorine tabs get tiny, I take them out, put them in my skimmer, and then put 2 more tabs in the fish. I would say you’d be replacing the tabs once a week. To open, you have to unscrew the fish from the base. Then drop the chlorine tabs. Then screw the top back on, which sometimes takes me a few tries to get right, maybe it’s just me. Then you drop it into the pool and done… so easy to use!

Cute Chlorine Floater
Great little chlorine floater for my above ground pool. The grandkids love it floating with them in the pool, they know not to mess with it but just adds to the fun of the pool to see it floating with them. I don't know about longevity yet since I just got it. I have noticed after using it only a few weeks that it has started to discolor on the bottom a bit. Works as expected.

An Okay Dispenser, but could have been Great with more ability to control its dispensing
I like this dispenser, but it has its flaws. This does what is intended, but at the same time I wish there had maybe been more options with a dispenser and a thermometer in one, just so I could compare. Pros - Does what it says it will do. The thermometer is very accurate. It is right on with another thermometer that we have, and that is awesome. I like that it stays upright even with nothing in it. I have read reviews on a lot of dispensers where this is a problem - not here. Cons - It is THIN material. I mean really thin, which may be why the plastic has also bleached, which surprised me. I had a really cheap one of these before (no thermometer) and it was at least as thick, and never stained. Perhaps my biggest issue is that the adjustments are basically nonexistent. It seems pretty much all or nothing. There is slight variability, so I would say there are like 0, 1.5, 2 levels for dispensing (still, the 1.5 level is almost 2 I have found which is why I don't even call it 1). Overall, I like this, and think it is acceptable, but could definitely be better. If it had more variability in dispensing, like 4 true levels, it would be a 5.

5 Stars for the price
You can't beat the value in this product. This review may be lengthy, but hear me out. The first week of using this floater, we thought it was a price of s***. The bottom half would consistently separate from the top and we were frustrated with it and ready to send it back when we discovered that there were 3 tiny prongs inside the top that should hold both prices together. In today's world, most people spend more time reading reviews than the actual instructions, I'm guilty. By the time we found the problem, there was only 1 prong left and it alone was able to keep the 2 piece together. With a little help from some crazy glue, it worked wonders. We have a huge pool and had been struggling with free chlorine. We had bought one of the more expensive sinking chlorinator and was not very happy with it. This one, even though its cheaply made, has the turn dial at the base that allows you to regulate how much chlorine dissipate from the floater. One floater has corrected the free chlorine problems we had. Figured the sun and chlorine will quickly damage any floater therefore the price point was great and we will purchase again. The thermometer feature was not a purchase factor for us hence I chose not to inclide a review regarding it.

Good value
Updated 5/1/19: Contacted Millerbrands (google it) and asked for a replacement since the one I ordered (and leaked) was less then a year old. The offered me a refund or replacement. I went with the replacement. The new one is supposedly redesigned/improved. Time will tell. I do appreciated the great customer service. Updated 2/13/19: As many others have mentioned, like theirs, mine has leaked water into the inside. It now floats on its side. I've had other brands that did not have this problem. THIS ITEM IS A PIECE OF CRAP. Original post: It floats, it holds multiple 3"; tabs (although I only add 1 at a time). Good quality, good price.

Fred the Fish Floats Flawlessly
2018 Aug 27 UPDATE: Vents are working great. I top off the chlorine tabs every week or two. As with the previous copy, this one floats perfectly. Looks really cute in the pool. I've updated my rating from 2 to 5 stars! 2018 Mar 15 UPDATE: I received a replacement unit! The vents on this on seem to open OK. I've updated my rating from 2 to 4 stars. I've been busy with school and the pool has been covered. Thus, I have not yet tested it with chlorine or floating. I will post another update in the next month or two. Sorry for the delay. 2018 Feb 9 ORIGINAL Review: My copy floated just great. However, the vents were fused shut...so the chlorine was not diffusing into the water. Could not get the vents to open. Returned it. I would like to try another one. If I do, then I'll update this review.

Could be improved
The MILLIARD Chlorine Floater with an integrated thermometer is a middle-of-the-road product with both pros and cons that potential buyers should be aware of. **Pros:** 1. **Dual Functionality:** The inclusion of a thermometer is a thoughtful touch, giving pool owners an easy way to monitor both chlorine dispersion and water temperature simultaneously. 2. **Durable Build:** The floater itself is made of a robust material that seems like it would withstand regular exposure to the sun and pool chemicals without any major wear and tear. **Cons:** 1. **Inconsistent Dispersion:** One of the primary issues I faced was the inconsistent release of chlorine. Depending on the tablet's size, the flow sometimes was too much or too little. A more adjustable or versatile vent system would be beneficial. 2. **Thermometer Accuracy:** While the idea of integrating a thermometer is great, its accuracy can sometimes be questionable. I've noticed discrepancies between this thermometer's readings and another trusted pool thermometer. 3. **Design Flaw:** The locking mechanism could be improved. There have been a couple of instances where it popped open, causing tablets to spill out. **Overall**, the MILLIARD Chlorine Floater does its job but has room for improvement. It's decent for someone who wants the convenience of a 2-in-1 tool and is willing to keep an eye on it to ensure optimal performance. However, if you're seeking precision in both chlorine dispensing and temperature reading, you might want to consider other options or be prepared to use this in conjunction with more specialized tools.

Buen producto
Está construido de plástico sólido, considerando que todo el día está en el sol y con cloro en su interior, considero que si me debe de durar un buen tiempo. Si vale la pena si quieres darle a tu piscina un toque diferente. Si lo volvería a comprar.
