Europet Cat Scratcher High Post, 90 cm, Light Grey

This fell apart within five minutes. The inner cardboard tube was cracked and split open about 2" up from the base. I wanted to return it but in the current circumstances didn't want to drive miles to the drop off point. I tried to glue it back together but it didn't work. I'm surprised such a tall post is just a hollow tube with no reinforcement. If it was sturdy it would have been great, as I struggled to find a post this tall.

The Europet High Post is certainly high - the highest post Ive seen. It is also of a decent width, fine for adult cats. The base is very wide, 40 by 40 cm (approx) and the post is steady while cats scratch. My cats are used to a fairly tall pole and continue to scratch at the same height as on the old one. They do have access to other scratching areas like trees and gateposts which may account for their refusal to reach higher up the post. Indoor cats might welcome it more fervently. It is well enough made and I am satisfied with it.

Took a little time to get here but worth wating for - very sturdy - weighted base - my 6 kg cat climbs to top and balances like elephant on circus ball

I will never return to shorter scratchers having tried this size on my cats. They love it and it wears well. My cat loving friend with loads of experience of cats never appreciated how much better and more enjoyable it would be for her cats- until she saw both of mine scratching simultaneously and got one herself. She is also converted to this taller size now.

Bought for a cat that like to stretch to scratch. easy to assemble, nice soft and light grey base.

The scratching post has stood up to the onslaught of my robust cat who enjoys scratching, attacking and climbing up the post to sit on top. The height is ideal for an adult large cat. So far so good.

I have had this for a couple of years now.its still standing strong.These hessian even after regular use by the cats is still very much intact and in awesome condition.Great hight for a big stretch for the fur babies.
