Chaco Kids' ZX1 Ecotread Athletic Sandals

I purchased the Chaco ZX1 Ecotread Sandal for a trip I was going on last summer. I am an adult who chose to buy children’s sandals because they are a little bit cheaper. I wear a size 5-5.5 in women and the 4M fit me perfectly. I would recommend this shoe for any adult whose feet are small enough to buy children’s shoes, but I would also recommend these shoes to parents who are looking to find their children durable and supportive sandals. Arch Support The arch support on these shoes are great, it made my foot feel like I was wearing a tennis shoe. My feet did not start to ache quickly like they do when someone wears flip-flops. I could walk all day in these shoes and my arches would not be aching. Straps You can adjust the straps to fit your feet perfectly. Once the straps are adjusted the shoes will fit that way unless you adjust them again. The only thing about the straps that was a bit challenging was that the side strap is long for me after adjustment. I do not mind that the strap is a little long because I just tuck it in when I put them on. I would wear these shoes in just about every situation because I know that they are secure on my feet. The design of the straps gives my feet a lot of air, and they do not get too hot on a summer day. Durability These shoes are very durable no matter where you are wearing them. They have a thick rubber bottom that has a lot of traction. They grip the ground extremely well and they are thick enough that if you would step on a sharp rock or glass you would not even feel it on the bottom of your foot. I wore the shoes everyday this past summer and they still look brand new. There is not a lot of wear and tear that happened because they are made well. Versatility I wore them in a lot of different environments, and they were great in every situation. I wore these shoes to the beach and would sometimes wear them into the water. The Chaco’s were easy to wear on the beach because of the back strap that held them onto my feet. I also took them hiking, and I did not regret the decision to wear the sandals over tennis shoes. They stayed on my feet well because of the design, and they also have great traction on the bottom of the shoe so I was never worried I would lose my footing. Up-Keep These shoes are easy to clean up if you get them dirty. They dry extremely quickly if you happen to get them wet. When they were dirty I would hose them off and could wash them with soap. Overall, I have compared these sandals to other outdoor sandals that my sister’s have and I think these ones are the best. I am definitely going to be buying another pair for this upcoming summer. This is such a great product and I am excited for it to warm up again outside, so I can start wearing my Chaco’s.

I love these shoes. After trying women’s sizes 7 and 8 without any success, I tried these big kid size 6. They fit perfectly. My normal size is a 7.5 in women’s. The arch hits just right, and I have high arches. The tie-dye pattern is adorable. The straps were easy to adjust. I got them quickly, and the price was half as much as the women’s sizes. I immediately wore them all day without any foot pain.

I love chacos!! You can conform the straps to fit your foot. Then just get them we and there is glue inside that then locks the straps in place! I use them everyday. I wear them hiking (3-8 miles) and for summer camp (endless miles chasing pre teen campers) and never have issues! I have had some pairs for 10 years and still wear them. Yall they are my daily shoes and they last!! The arch support makes them soo comfortable. Highly recommend these (they come in tons of colors)!!

The sandals themselves were super cute and well made but my daughter didn’t like them because of the way they fit and felt on her foot. I know that’s a personal preference but if you have a kid that has oddly specific shoe preferences I probably wouldn’t recommend

Love these! In the summer I live in my Chaco flip flops, women's size 8. I at one point had a pair of the Chaco sandals with the toe strap, but never wore them because they bothered me (toe strap and generally couldn't get the straps adjusted right) and were really heavy -- much heavier than the flip flops. However, sometimes you want a sandal instead of a flip and I thought I might give it another try with Chacos without the toe strap. I somehow wandered into these and discovered that Women's Size 8 = Big Kid Size 6 in this brand. How cool is that! It's about 50% off cool, is what it is. I was worried about the fit because I have a high arch, but they hit me exactly right in the arch and feel amazing -- I didn't want to take these babies off. I got the color called "faded pink" and it's more purple than pink and doesn't look like only something a 4-year-old would love, it looks totally reasonable for an adult. These are not nearly as heavy as my other other Chaco sandals were, much closer to the flips (but more secure, of course. The straps are secure and comfortable -- your feet are not going to slide forward out of these, which was a concern of mine. Just FYI, I wear a women's 7 1/2 usually, sometimes an 8, in other shoes. My feet measure 24.5 cm. 95% of the time I fit a Euro 38.

My 11 year old daughter loves these! They do run big - she’s wearing 4 in tennis shoes but had to exchange for a size 3 in these, so you might want to size down. The length on the 4 wasn’t extremely long, but the placement of the hard arch support was not right for her foot. I was a little frustrated to have to size down to a length that exactly fits her foot right now, knowing she wouldn’t be able to grow into them, but had no choice due to the arch placement. It took some adjusting to get the straps right, but with some trial and error around the house, she got them to where they were comfy. She says she couldn’t wear them for long walks or hikes and be comfortable, but for a regular day’s activities or summer camp they’re great. And some of her friends are very happy to wear them hiking, so it might just be that some feet fit them better. My daughter’s feet are narrow and these are a little wide on her, but still work fine. One recommendation to Chaco, if they are listening: PLEASE MAKE KIDS SIZES IN PLAIN BLACK!! Thank you. Hahaha.

Recently I went to Europe and Israel for 3 weeks. I had always heard that Chacos are amazing so I bought these and only brought these on the trip. I brought no other shoes including flip flops or tennis shoes! These suited my needs so perfectly; you might want something fancier for somewhere like Italy but they were amazing for walking. I went to St. Peter's Basilica/Vatican City and my feet didn't hurt when everyone else's did. They were also perfect for hiking in Switzerland (I added socks lol) and going through Hezekiah's tunnel in Israel. The only thing I couldn't wear them for was inside the Dead Sea because of all the mud, you couldn't really wear shoes. For everything else we did they were perfect, comfy, water, tennis shoes that were shaped like sandals and waterproof. They also looked great with every outfit and were so comfortable. I also wore these on 8 planes. Recently I also went to Dollywood and they were perfect for every ride, especially the water ones. They stayed on perfectly when I rode horses as well. Would recommend these for any summer adventure.

Durable, kid loves them

Estuve buscando varias sandalias para caminar, creo que encontré las perfectas. No las he probado aún pero se ven muy cómodas. Me quedaron muy bien de lo largo y ancho y se ajustan perfectamente a mi pie.
