1 Review: Good value - Great for dry brining meat before smoking. I smoke a lot and this is a good velua Review: Excellent Low Sodium (per volume) Salt - Just what I needed - a low sodium (for the same volume) - more of a perception for sure but a great way to control one's sodium intake per day. The large twin packages is a blessing since I don't have to worry about replenishing them anytime soon. Extremely reasonably priced product for the size of the packages. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a tasty and low sodium salt (per volume).

The only salt you need!
Years ago, I decided to do a comparison of salt. I compared everyday flaked table salt to flaked DC to the fancy "fleur" sea salt from the shores of France (because we all know salt from the shores of France is INFINITELY different and presumably better than that from the shores of say Florida...smh.) The sea salt was coarse but I had my grinder set to about the same size as flakes to keep it consistent. I fried 3 eggs in 1 T of butter sunnyside up. Then I added 1/8 tspn of each salt on each egg. Result? DC won hands down. The egg with the table salt tasted.... salty. Fleur was as good as the DC but at $6US per ounce, it was not cost effective. The DC disappeared on top of the egg and all I tasted was yummy yolk. And at $.24 cents an ounce from this vendor, it made it the clear winner. I've used DC ever since. I decided to start buying in bulk so I can share it with family and friends. This was a cost effective vendor that utilized Prime delivery. The package arrived quickly and in good shape. I will point all my converts to this vendor. Avoid the "trending" pink sea salt craze and use DC salt that enhances the taste of your food every time. And use a reliable Amazon vendor like this one.

So weird this is so hard to buy now!
We scoured the grocery stores for a month trying to get ahold of a normal, plain, nothing-fancy box of flaked salt. Koshering salt, flaked salt, finishing salt, whatever you call it, we couldn't find it anywhere. It's *so weird* to think there's some kind of salt shortage. Welcome to the world of economic trade after tariffs, I guess? Anyway, it reached the point where we're not finding it at the grocery store, the restaurant supply store, Costco, not anywhere. W. T. F! At this point I'd have settled for some generic brand. It's salt, who cares. So we go look online and there's like... only one or two listings for a box of koshering salt. Crazy! It was a fair deal and a two-pack which means we'll be able to hold out for a while now until the next nutso thing happens to our economy. The salt is exactly what you expect. It's the same stuff you used to be able to get on that bottom shelf at the grocery store. I don't want fancy woo-woo salt, I don't want to use granular salt as a finishing salt, so this is the stuff. Price is fine. I mean, it's salt.

Highly recommend
Fast dissolving, good for seasoning & cooking. Its texture and crystal shape dissolve fairly quickly, which helps it season food evenly and reduces “salt clumping” or uneven salt pockets.
