McDougal Littell Algebra 1: Student Edition (C) 2004 2004

These books are used by my school district, and I use them as a reference for teaching. What I like about them is they give clear examples and are fairly straightforward and user-friendly, unlike some math texts that are just a jumble of words to read. These have all the important concepts in bold, and in nice neat-looking little green-bordered boxes. And, of course, answers to odd problems in the back. If you are a teacher looking for a reference text or a parent who is home-schooling, I highly recommend this textbook series.~ Mistyteacher & tutor for over 12 years

I teach Algebra, and use this workbook for homework practice. It has 2 pages of problems for each section in the textbook, and page 2 is harder than page 1. There are NO ANSWERS in this workbook, to the dread of the students, but the answers are in the Teacher's Edition of the textbook, McDougal Littell Algebra 1 (McDougal Littell Mathematics). This is not a teaching tool, so if you don't know how to do Algebra, this isn't for you, but if you are looking for extra practice problems for students, and have the accompanying textbook, it's great.

Book arrived in perfect condition, very well packaged. I highly recommend this seller.

The series of math textbooks by McDougal-Littell are excellent, not to be confused with the "workbooks"! The workbooks are intended for use as examples. As in the photo I provided, someone has to work out the problems in order to assist a student. The text usually provides enough information to figure them out, but not always. Parents can become frustrated in the process. As a high school math teacher for 20 years and now a co-op homeschool teacher, I've seen lots of confusion by parents and students. The worst problem with this workbook is that not only are there no answers worked out, but no answers at all! So accept it for what it is. It's a workbook for a parent to learn and process the problems with their child. Use the textbook to verify the process, but not necessarily to check the answers for accuracy!

Thank God we didn't have to pay 90 bucks for this book. But this book. My son lost his algebra book reboot last year and we had to replace it. Great value!

I hate math and will always.I admit, math is not my cup of tea so I never really paid attention back in high school but going to college, you need to know your math. I, of course, didn't do so well on my placement test for math so I had to take this beginners class for college math. Pity.This book was a requirement for the math class and I strongly believe that due to my instructor giving us tons of assignments Monday-Friday, for one whole semester, I think my math skills improved by 50% if not more.I would only recommend You buy the Used version if and only if it's a requirement for your math class. I strongly believe that some of these text books are overpriced; just like college, you pay so much to learn something and by next year, you forget most of what you learned.

This used book is actually in great condition! It’s like new!
