PetSafe Martingale Dog Collar with Quick-Snap Buckle - Small, 3/4 Inch, Black

Collar works very well. Dog is a 70 lb. retriever with a 18” neck and a medium size might have fit better but the large works well enough after a size adjustment. There is some slack but it doesn’t bother the dog and it does tighten up quickly with just a light pull. I’m confident the dog cannot back out and it does not cause damage to the neck or coat like steel chains. The locks are the basic twompronged plastic type. Good deal for the price.

My roommates Pit Bull would continually Houdini out of his harnesses. We would spend hours at least once a week having to chase him down when putting him outside on the run with any of the harnesses purchased. I purchased this collar finally to go along with the use of his harness clipping the 2 leash lead on the collar and the other clipped to the harness. If he got out of the harness still the collar would stop him from backing out of it completely and stopped him from his weekly joy runs.It's great for his walks also. When we would walk him and come across a loose pet, he use to back out of his harness to get to play with them (very friendly not a fighter) this collar stopped him from being able to do this and keeps the walk under control.

Some dog's heads and necks are the same size so regular collars can slip off and your dog can bolt. Not with these. They gently snug up when you tug on the leash and no escape is possible. I rescue sighthounds and these are the only collars we use. They are great for all dogs. Easy to adjust for neck size and really pretty, and no big, clunky buckle.

Needed a larger Martindale and this one is perfect for my boy.

I needed a puppy sized martingale collar for my little shep. He's just about ready to move up to a big boy collar, but this was perfect for the puppy stage!

I first ordered the medium 3/4 width with a diameter of 11-15. Itcould not be made smaller than 15" ,so it was returned. I then order the small 3/4 "width,the discription states the neck size to be9-11" .This collar has a tag that's says small,but can not be made smaller than 12.5".

Nice collar, but tight buckle makes it difficult to remove.

I wasn’t expecting much as it’s a $6 collar but it’s surprisingly made well and has good materials and stitching. I have a puppy and even with the smallest size it was still alittle too big after tightening it fully. She’s 4 months and decent size so it’s not like I’m complaining about a 3 day old not fitting in it lol. Other than that it’s great for the value, definitely a good starter collar until they’re more grown and you can get a cool one that’ll last a while 😂

The snap fitting is great. The slide adjustment would be better the other way around.

Initially I was happy with the martingale ( purchased a medium size) until my husky was able to slip out of it & ran off. It was a dangerous & stressful situation for my son as my husky could have been kill or seriously injured. Our walking route was next to a busy highway with busy traffics on both side of the road day or night. Our walking route shouldn’t matter if the collar fits nicely and tightly around the neck! The snap on buckle was good as it can be fit around the dog’s neck with ease but it would be BETTER if they can cooperate the design where we can adjust the tightness of the collar. Another martingale in the bin for me😐😔😤

I ordered the medium size for my small beagle but it seemed big (and I do understand how the martingale should fit). I contacted the company's customer service department via email and, after some back and forth to confirm the problem, they sent a size small, which works for her. (She seems to be on the borderline for sizes and the martingale hoop on the medium size seemed very big for her.) I'm not sure why the medium size based on the chart measurement didn't work for her but they did resolve the problem. We just received the replacement collar and it seems well-made and reasonably priced (as did the original one). I can't speak to durability and sturdiness at this point but the company does stand by its products! Very nice customer service people!

Ya no compro de otros collares, con estos aunque el angelito se jale no se lo puede sacar. Antes los paseadores de mis angelitos se quedaba aterrados con el collar y la correa en la mano mientras ellos corrían libres por la vida, ahora jamás se escapan.
