Going Somewhere: Truth about a Life in Science

Back in 2001, I first started using a cellphone and by 2002 I developed a bone tumor behind my left ear. I saw a neurologist and had a CT, the results were that the tumor in my skull was protruding outward and not yet inward against my brain. Thank God. The tumor was to be monitored. I immediately stopped holding my cell phone to my head, never ever again. Fast forward to 2018, I just finished reading Andrew Marino's book. My bone tumor has been stable (no growth, same size as in 2002) all these years, and I haven't put a cell phone to my head since 2002. And no cordless phones, no earbuds, no bluetooth. I try to limit my EMF exposure. Dr Marino's life work and book are impressive. This is a brave work he had done for humanity. I will not forget the gist of something he said, paraphrased here: what if murder was committed and the murderer vanished without a trace? Non-native EMF (from technologies cell phones, powerlines, 5G, cell towers) is that murderer, and it's a serial killer, a mass murderer! I told my family that if I develop brain cancer, or any other cancer, and die, know that the underlying cause is EMFs. Take heed."But-for" the cellphone, I would not have this tumor.

I used to be the “follow the science” guy.I understand what is happening now. You have to read the studies and understand the methods inside out and even then you must be careful.These people are manipulative and unjust. It is sad. Science is not what I thought it was.

Numerous peer reviewed studies concur that EMF can compromise the immune defense systems of animals and man and is synergistic with other ailments, thus proliferating and exacerbating allergies, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and other diseases. Only a well educated electorate, which Dr. Marino so skillfully accomplishes, can reverse the trend and adopt public policies based on Truth. Industry profits should pay for corrective engineering, reconstruction, and the enormous financial burdens on citizens' suffering and to health systems caused by negligence and EMF trespassing on private property by electric power and communications corporations.Bravo! dr marino writes a fascinating true story about his career as a biophysics researcher on the effects of electromagnetic energy on people and animals. he tells a story that very few researchers dare to tell: how even prestigious scientific journals and writers have been influenced on what they publish and what they say, based on their own prejudices, their own power trips and their own agenda, which often does not have the public interest at heart, but has either industry or their careers and funding for future research at the base of their publicly aired views. this book is a real eye opener for those of us who are not scientific researchers, and those of us who formally were impressed with new research that is published. this book teaches the reader to look behind the so called facts and see what the basis for publication and the basis for the research actually is.

After reading the book "The Body Electric" by Dr. Robert Becker, I had to get this book. It was in the 80s that Dr. Becker's work was done and published. He was even featured on 60 Minutes where he talked about the damaging effects of EMFs and twice nominated for the Nobel Prize. Andrew Marino here really tells the story of how even in the study of the sciences, the human element comes into play here.It may have been nearly 40 years past, but Dr. Becker was so inspirational to his former students. My own research on the piezoelectric effects of the bone tissue in relation to Wolff's Law led me to Dr. Becker's work. His findings about the Immortal Hydra and its incredible regenerative ability sort of predicted the findings in recent decades about the immortal ability of the hydra. Marino was still a graduate student back then and this book shows just how influential one great man can be on others.

Through his own personal lifelong experience working with EMFs, Marino shows how science can be manipulated to suit the selfishness of certain groups, and how science has become a tool that these groups use for their search for power and wealth regardless of truth and justice.Although he focuses on the issue of EMFs, one can draw similar conclusions as to how the food and drug industries work.In all, this is an eye opening story of the world that we live in. We need to become aware of how dangerous it is to let industries determine safety standards using science as their personal puppet tool. This world certainly need more Marinos!!!!!!

I just finished reading “Going Somewhere”…..and enjoyed it so very much!I was immediately struck by the little boy trying to understand his world…….so simply honest and open.I loved references to the classics, the pages and pages of dialogue, confrontational logic, and Dr. Marino’s humor, sarcasm and tenacity.Andrew Marino is a very smoothly polished wordsmith.I’m wishing the book would continue…

Great view of the "process" of going nowhere with human health - too many powerful people blocking it, and too many smart men opening Pandora's box for greedy power-hungry men that end up hurting us all.

Some of the writing is difficult to wade through as the author is both scientist and lawyer. However, he presents a compelling story of the reason we must question the "facts." Who checks the experts and the fact checkers? Who makes the determination that something is right or wrong, good or bad? This book asks you to use your mind and reason and to think critically. It was not always an easy read, and if you are squeamish about animal science, you might give it a skip. Otherwise, it pushes a lot of buttons and is well worth the read.

A very good read, the book lets us know that there is a lot more politics in science than should be. It shows how money and power determines the outcome of research. There are far too many people in research for their own personal benefit and not the good of all mankind. It shows how arrogance destroys a lot of scientific research and those that go against the grain.

North Americans NEED this...Science is NOT a god...it can and is manipulated...!
