## Questions & Answers

**Q: The shipping weight says 41.2 pounds. is the shipping weight wrong, or are they showing the price for two 20-lb. bags?**
A: It's twenty pounds

**Q: I’m setting up a new 29gal as a grow out tank, needs resealed first but would this be good for my fry?**
A: Absolutely! It is great for them and the water quality. And it's neat how they move it to make caves/hideouts for themselves.

**Q: Is it enough for a 30 gal long tank**
A: My son has a 100 gallon tank long I bought this for him because it was the least expensive I bought more than 1 bag and he had to buy more

**Q: Can you use this in a freshwater tank**
A: Yes - designed for freshwater fish that prefer relatively high PH and hardness such as African Cichlids. It should not be used with most other varieties of freshwater fish (e.g. South American Cichlids, Tetras) which prefer neutral to acidic and softer water.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Looks Awesome.
*by L***E on November 1, 2016*

This substrate looks great. I haven't checked the PH yet, but appearance wise this stuff is great. I have a 55 gal. tank and added 4 bags. I probably could've used 3, but I wanted to build up the back of the tank.

### ⭐⭐⭐ ok

a lot more white then the photo. still vary nice looking

### ⭐ Blah
*by A*** on November 16, 2016*

Not solid black. It's black and grey with some white specks. First try just dumped in aquarium. Filled up. Cloudy as hell. So emptied aquarium. Rinsed rocks for 30 minutes. Redid aquarium. Still cloudy as hell. Some particles still floating to the top. Almost like tiny pieces of bark or something. Wasted the cash. Because this sucks.Owner of 6 aquariums. I know my stuff. Never again will I buy this
