OG Dr pimple popper one
Probably almost like 10 years ago when i first started watched Dr Pimple Popperâs original instagram videos (wayyy before the tlc show), she had a verified merch shop and one of the items for sale was a comedone extractor exactly like the one in her videos for $20 lol. Needless to say i was a huge fan so i purchased it and i popped so many whiteheads and blackheads with the thing; but then it tragically got lost. this is the PERFECT replacement i only wish i wouldâve seen it sooner. i much prefer this to the other styles, and itâs a great deal. i use it pretty hard on my face and no scarring or anything like that. i clean it with alcohol or soap between uses.

this is the best
I've tried the Sephora--the Revlon beats it, hands down. The thing that is wrong with this REVLON is its INSTRUCTIONS!!!The instructions state that you should center your blackhead in the small hole at either end, then push down. If you do that, it just doesn't work. But, if you put the smooth edge of the end NEXT to the blackhead and push inwards towards the blackhead--sort of like a scooping action--it is amazingly effective, and a lot less painful than the Sephora. I handed one of these to my dermatologist, who was using a Sephora-like torture device. She was amazed at how much more effective this one was. This baby has very smooth edges on both ends, making it almost painless on most blackheads. I have actually fallen asleep while having blackheads removed with the Revlon (and I've had plenty, sorry to say!). It will even dig out those dried out, persistent ones, which I get on my upper neck. Never has a blackhead escaped my ire with this tool--it will, with persistence, get the worst of the worst! Just remember--scooping action, forget the hole!Ignore the instructions. Push from the side after a hot shower. This is the one.

Not like the original
I owned one of these previously but lost it.These ones seem different. I'm not suggesting they are fake, and the packaging seems correct, but they are certainly of a different quality than the original.I can't directly compare to the one I lost, but these seem to be lighter weight, stamped metal, and have a ton of rough and unpolished spots all over the edges. There are also unfinished tooling marks on ends. I don't recall if the other had these marks. They are the correct shape (which I find to be superior to most on the market), so I think they will be adequate, but I am going to smooth out some of the edges myself so it is more comfortable to hold.

Great!
I got the exact item I ordered and it arrived promptly. Can't ask for more than that! đ

Not well-made, rough metal edges make it unusable. Try another brand.
This is a Schamberg comedone expresser. The design has been around for years. For it to work properly, the metal tip must be very smooth and precision made to put pressure on the skin without tearing or damage. The well-made versions are very solid, carefully polished, almost slippery and glide easily on the skin. This one, made in Pakistan, does not work. The metal casting is too rough-edged, and sharp and irregular (SEE PHOTO.) It should be smooth. I am thinking if you want a good one, you can't cheap out. Anything under $10 I doubt. Expect to pay $20 or more for something carefully made of quality steel.

better than old one
was skeptical, but this is even better than the old one we misplaced. less pain and skin damage when using it. will probably buy one for every member of household.

Be cautious
This item is "OK" in removing blackheads; however, if used by a careless person (who slams this product down of their nose trying to force blackheads out) it will leave your nose red and irritated, bruised, and prematurely wrinkled for several days. This product is effective in getting out the sebum from a pore, but the labor of going over the entire nose is extremely tedious if not impossible. I've tried just about everything, from these to black-head removing strips, to medicated facial cleansers with salicylic acid or benzyl peroxide (these are the active ingredient in most mainstream facial cleansers such as Clearasil), to homemade solutions (involving gelatin) but nothing really seems to work. All processes (including this one) seem to do more damage than good.My recommendation is to think about trying this product (perhaps your pores are less stubborn than mine) because it's cheap, but be careful! Don't bruise your nose like I stupidly did. If it doesn't help your nose/cheeks/forehead look better (it definitely won't make them look perfect; lets be realistic here), it will at least be satisfying to see that you're clearing some of your pores.

What was sold under this listing 6 years ago worked...
05-31-2014 update: my original review applied to a Revlon product that had round spoons at either end, one with a small hole and the other with a larger hole. From the picture, it appears that is NOT what is being sold & my review does NOT apply.08-11-2008 review: I've had one of these in my ditty bag for well over 15 years & have always been pleased with it. Then it mysteriously disappeared. Probably one of the joys of having children... I checked all the drug & grocery stores & could not find a replacement, but Amazon had it. It looks & works just like the old one, great! My technique has always been to center the blackhead or pimple or pussy mosquito bite under the smallest hole that seems appropriate & apply massive pressure until stuff pops thru the hole. Then if there's blood, put a dab of Neosporin on it.
