Is this the same scent I loved during college in the sixties?

Absolutely! I have loved the scent of Jean Nate' since I was in junior highs (the sixties). I use it every day and I get a lot so many compliments.

I got mine through Amazon. Original or not, it smells the same to me. Maybe my nose is blind.

Why would there be a difference? The mist may only put a finer spray on than a splash on which then would make it smell stronger

Why does the description say country of origin u.s.a. when the bottle says made in mexico?

It could have originally been adequate in America but now is being outsourced to Mexico or the bottle itself could be m ade in Mexico while the product was made is U. S. It's most likely the former.
