Very cute little train. It’s very small but sturdy. It’s just right for a little ones hands.

Very cute dainty delicate train. Has really small parts that can easily break off but perfect for older kids. My son loved it.

For $8, this is a really great toy train. My son is obsessed with trains and I bought 4 sets of these (ended up with a few different colors) for restaurants. We have been playing with them, at least once a week, for the last 2 years and I think they are great. The different car options are great and they are small enough that 4 sets can fit into a small cosmetics bag. Because the cars are plastic, the sets a very lightweight, which I love for restaurant purposes. I initially didn't like that the engine was metal because it made everything heavier, but it does make it more stable while the kids push them around. The connectors are not the strongest things in the world, but I have 12 cars (not including the engines), and only 3 have broken in 2 years of constant play. I feel that I really can't expect more from an $8 toy. My kids don't play with these as pull-backs...they just roll them all over the table. The connectors connect well and my kids have not gotten frustrated by disconnections (like some other small toy trains we have tried). When we have friends with us, this set really keeps the kids occupied. I actually just ordered 2 more sets as back-up/gifts. I think this is an excellent buy for little train fans.

Our son likes trains so we put this in his stocking with some other stuff. I didn't really see him play with it much and I didn't give it much thought. I guess it's not a great review but it didn't blow up or kill anyone when we opened it so there's that. It's a cute little toy if you have a child that's into trains. I didn't knock down the stars for the review because I don't think it's fair to give criticism if you can't be specific and it's not warranted so take the five stars with a grain of salt. I didn't see him sleeping with it by his side so it probably isn't a five star toy. What do you expect for a few dollars.

The locomotive is solid and tough. The friction motor not strong enough to pull the entire train very far (2 inches or so), but very strong on its own. The cars are plastic but nice looking. Just what I wanted and expected.
