Well made. Seems to be accurate, as repeated tests show same results, and are within a tight range of a professional wood moisture tester. Useful to know the readings at different places in a crawl space. High reading can point to a hidden source of moisture, such as behind insulation or below a sometimes dripping duct. Can provide early detection of mold or fungus creating conditions, so the condition can be mitigated.

I had a water issue in my basement (in a corner, from the wall) and part of my cement floor was wet. I dried it for weeks and put the flooring back down. I'm now suspicious every time it rains and this at least gives me an idea of how wet it might be under the flooring. It's easy to use, easy to see the face of it. It's maybe not quite as accurate as the $$$ meter the waterproofer guy used, but it does give me an idea and some peace of mind.

This detector is so easy to use. You just insert into the wall for seconds, then it will beep, with the number shown on screen, which is also easy to read. Hope the two needles could be bit longer so the accuracy should be improved more to my private opinion.

Dependable in identifying damp walls and possible sources of problems.

It took me a while never having used one, to get my head around understanding the measurements. It is mostly a comparison tool. To my thinking it appears pretty accurate. Again, this tool is new to me. The waisted yellow hand/finger grips are purely aesthetic, in fact I think they are detrimental to it's use. When you hold it and use it down low the screen is at an oblique angle, so you can't read it unless you use the Hold function.

Wasted money. My contractor came with a professional meter and showed a completely different result.

Great design. Works very well. A must have if you have a wood fire.

Prima dell'acquisto ho fatto alcune ricerche e ho letto alcune recensioni. Ho capito tra l’altro che un elemento distintivo è l’ampiezza della scala dei valori di umidità rilevata. Sicuramente altri strumenti sono più adatti ad un uso sofisticato e professionale, ma questo secondo me è il migliore in termini di rapporto qualità/prezzo per chi necessità di qualcosa di semplice ma efficace da usare. E’ preciso, pratico: ampio, e pertanto comodo da leggere, il display; tre tasti per selezionare le funzioni essenziali (ottima la funzione “hold” che mantenendo il valore sullo schermo permettere la rilevazione in punti di scarsa accessibilità, dove la lettura sarebbe scomoda). Scala da 5% a 50% per il legno e da 1,5% a 35% per materiali edili. La batteria da 9 Volt è più cara delle altre, ma in tanti supermercati ci sono ottime marche a meno di 2€! Davvero soddisfatto dell’acquisto. Consegna rapidissima.

Ich habe mir den Feuchtigkeitsdetektor gekauft, um den Feuchtigkeitsgehalt meines gekauften Holzes überprüfen zu können. Das Gerät funktioniert einwandfrei. Als ich später Feuchtigkeit in der Wand vermutet habe, konnte ich diese ebenfalls sehr gut mit dem Gerät überprüfen. Insgesamt ein gutes Teil – einfach zu bedienen und zuverlässig in der Anwendung. Seit 4 Jahren im Einsatz.
