    Not As Great As: "A Year In Provence"

This book is not as good as the author’s first book. Did not have the author’s sense of humor like the first one.At the beginning of the book, the book is interesting, but as it goes along, the author wrote things that were really not necessary and important for his readers to know about, as things were of his own personal life that you really don't learn anything from. I would of have preferred more information about the characters in his first book, the area, the culture and its' people like his first book was than the personal stories about food and personal encounters with other people.I also did not like nor appreciate the foul language or the curse words again in the book about his dogs like the first book, as books should always be clean and pure to their readers. He also shows more of his selfish and haughty attitude in this book about people when they visited him, as he did not show them respect by intervening, when his adopted dog would approach them in a disrespectful manner.Don't know yet if this one is worth keeping. A Year In Provence is definitely a more interesting and enjoyable book to read than this one. So definitely recommend that one better.I hope that his next book: "Encore Provence," is a lot better and enjoyable than this one, if not what a waste of money and disappointment that would be.
