This bad boy was about $220 when I purchased and performs well. It handles every high end game I throw at it. Even browsing the web is noticeably quicker than my old i3 3220t. This is just a rebadged i7. You should buy it. 4 cores and 8 threads is all you need. Ohhhh xeeeon, you got what I neeeeeeed.

CPU screams in home-use ESX server with vt-d passthrough. power consumption when idle seems very low and heat seems well-managed. very pleased with this CPU. Unless you need specific features like vt-d, there are probably much better options for the $, or similar capabilities for far less. It is a server grade, and not inexpensive, piece of kit.

Kicks the s..t out of any i7 and it's cheaper. Works in most current S1155 motherboards. 8 threads + ECC if your board supports it.

This processor was easy to install and works perfectly. My Photoshop processing is much faster. I'm a happy camper. Thanks Intel!

It fits well my ASRock Z77 Extreme 6 motherboard. Allow me to set everything I need in BIOS. The purpose was to install ESXi 5.5 but I didn't do it yet. Both, the processor and the motherboard allow settings for VT-d feature.

I am glad I went with the Xeon. I just wish I had researched the intel motherboard I purchased. Despite the CPU having vPro (AMT) for remote administration, the motherboard also has to support it.

This is an excellent processor for socket LGA1150. It is easy to build a very powerful workstation around this chip. It is also easy to keep it cool since the power demand never exceeds 125 watts under full load. Whether a gamer or a pro, this will serve you well. I have had one in use as my daily driver for over a year and have yet to encounter anything wrong. Big jobs such as transcoding and rendering are no problem for this beast.

これを使ってやっと組み立てましたが、買って良かった商品です。コストパフォーマンスは非常に良く、 普段使いであればCore i7シリーズと同等かと思いますが仮想化した時の効果は、こっちが上だと思って います。 Windows7のWEIは、7.7を示しており、個人的には非常に満足いく製品です。全くストレスなく、文句の つけようがありません。

ESXiホストに使用。安定しています。発熱も少なく安心感があります。

Celeronから乗り換えましたが、サーバーの能力がグンと上がりました。満足しています。円安で高くなる前に買っておいて正解でした。
