The Aromatherapy Book: Applications & Inhalations

I have not actually read the book yet, but glancing through tells me I will use it a lot. I love the tables. Table 1, for instance, goes from page 5 to page 31 and it lists all kinds of ailments/issues that might affect a person and then tells which oils will help with those issues. Table 2 does the opposite. It lists a wide variety of oils and then tells what those particular oils are good for. There are a lot of recipes and detailed descriptions of a number of oils.I bought a used book. It came in GREAT shape! Makes it an affordable way to get a nice library going.

I discovered this book over 20 years ago. It was a very informative and entertaining read. Jeanne Rose is very knowledgeable and has a good writing style, and the data presented is very well organized. This make it a good reference book. I now have about 15, or so, books on essential oils and aromatherapy in my collection, and this is still the book I go to first when I want to look something up. I recently purchased my current volume from Amazon, as once again I had 'loaned' the book to someone, and it just never seemed to find its way home. That has happened often over the last 20 years. This is a purchase you will not regret.

I love her style of writing and little bits of "life " that she has put into this book. She has an amazing amount of knowledge and puts a lot of it into this book.I think this should be your intro book to aromatherapy and needs to be read through more than once. Descriptions of essential oils and some plants, some easy mixes and blends . This is not a "recipe " book. Book is in great condition for being used would order from seller again.

Great book, but it might be good to do an updated version. I did find areas that had out of date info. Not too many but more than two. Overall, this is a great book, and the information, remedies and recipes are really good. I've whipped up a few batches of remedies from this book, and they are delightful.

I love this book. It's very knowledgable from an experienced aromatherapist of many years, point of view. The reading was easy and is a an asset to any one wanting to learn about essential oils.

It is a very interesting and well researched book on aromatherapy. I am very glad with this purchase and will definitely use it as an essential reference book. The Aromatherapy Book was written in 1992, California,USA. It does not includes oils which are new comers in the market of aromatherapy.
