Danby Designer 4.4 Cubic Feet Compact Refrigerator (DCR044A2BDD) Black

Don't let the picture fool you... this is a large unit for a mini-fridge at 4.4 cubic feet. It's so silent I almost didn't believe it was working. But it works like a champ! It took only a handful of hours to get nice and cold, where most fridges take up to 24 hours to reach the ideal temperature. The three glass shelves were nicely packed inside and they are strong and awesome. Quality is a lot better than I ever expected.*UPDATE* 9/7/2019I've owned this compact fridge for almost 3 years. This December of 2019, it will be three years on the dot. So why the update? FLAWLESS OPERATIONYes, I used all caps on purpose. I have had zero complaints. It has functioned silently without issue and here I am years later, still impressed something fierce. My insulin stays at the perfect chilled temperature. My drinks are ice cold. It holds everything I need it to hold with room to spare. Thank you, Danby, for making a quality product. I got my money's worth. When it ages out and no longer works, I'm buying another one without hesitation.

When FedEx dropped this off, they left it in pouring rain (for about 8 hours it sat in the rain). I was getting ready to ask Amazon to get me a replacement for my ruined-before-I-ever-saw-it product, but when I checked, I was delighted to find this is VERY well packaged! Bravo to you, Danby.On to the review of the product itself:This is QUITE spacious for a mini fridge, and has a handy can holder in the door, as well as space for eggs. It's not your typical "holds beers for my frat bros, bro!" mini fridge; it seems like more of a full-fridge replacement unit for dorms (Or to protect your food from room mates...)Temperatures are great in this as well; the bottom shelf is ~40f, and as you move up the shelves, the temperature goes down to ~35f. The freezer is considerably colder. Note though that these temperatures were taken after I'd only run it a few hours.. it may even out more, and have slightly different temps when given a chance to run longer.

The box was open when we received it, and I am positive this was a returned item. The box had been cut cleanly about an inch above the bottom, so I was able to lift the box off from the top. I let it sit for about 5 hours before plugging the unit in. It never got cold, and the refrigerator stopped working within a week. I'm scrambling to see if they can warranty repair it, but I've had no contact back from their customer service department. .Very disappointed with the product itself. Amazon was stellar about a shipping problem, but I was hoping the product would at least work as listed.

Bought this fridge a month before quarantine hit. Was working fine when I had to leave my office. Unplugged unit and followed directions for long term idle. Came back to office 16 months later and unit is almost non-functioning. Cools only a little. Of course the return window closed long ago. Company is only troubleshooting via the internet and email. Totally ineffective. Bye-bye $200.UPDATE: Got a hold of Danby and they made good by replacing the refrigerator. Customer service ended up being top-notch.

Works great , quiet , and efficient.

We live in FL and use the Danby mainly to store, bottled water, soft drinks and beer on our outdoor lanai. Since we live in FL, the Danby stays on the lanai all year round and despite temperatures that are often in the upper 80's to mid 90's during a FL summer, the Danby has managed to keep everything nice and cool. The freezer compartment is pretty small, but it has a enough room to keep a few beer glasses chilled or ice cubes handy if that is your preference. The general refrigeration area of the Danby provides ample room for plenty of the "liquids" described above and there are additional slots In its door for soda cans. The door storage can also handle some condiments when you are in the mood to B-B-Q. The shelves in the main body are adjustable so you can set them to accommodate all sizes of bottles. We've had the Danby about a year now and we've had no problems whatsoever with it. Great product for situations that require a small refrigerator.

I ordered my fridge and set it up. Right away i noticed it didn't seem to cool properly. I turned the thermostat to the coldest setting a few days later and it still didnt get any colder I put an infrared thermometer on it and the coldest it would get is 40 degrees. I got busy and didn't have time to deal with it at the moment. A few months went by and I had enough. I contacted Amazon and even though it was out of the return window they still exchanged it for a new one! Outstanding customer service from amazon.com! The second one that I received worked fine and is operating just below 32 degrees.

This is the best mini fridge I have owned by far. All the rest had spots that would freeze stuff that was not in the freezer. This one you can place stuff anywhere and not worry about too cold or too warm spots. The glass shelves are much better than the wire racks in my others. I currently own nine mini fridges of all types...this one is KING!

Great price for a mini fridge of this size and it arrived very quickly. It would probably be too big to keep in an office cubicle or on a desk, but it serves its purpose as a small fridge in my home very well. It was very easy to install (just remove from box and plug into any standard outlet). I've had it plugged in for over a week now and it s working wonderfully (temperature is easy to adjust on a dial). I love all the shelves that it comes with in the main area and that they are adjustable/removable if necessary. It also has handy shelving on the door, including space for drink cans.

Great fridge with lots of space and features that allow you to fit larger items in it with ease. It keeps things REALLY cold and it is serving myself and all my students really well. The girls can put all their items in it for lunch that need to remain cold and there is still lots of room for my stuff. Quiet engine and sleek design. Warranty extension for another 4 years if you want it.

I use this little fridge for beer, wine, soda and a bit of icecubes. It's just perfect. It's not noisy at all. It saves me a lot of space in my kitchen refrigerator. I like the black finish and the seal on the door is very good (almost too good).

I bought this fridge to replace a full-sized fridge. Cleaning out the old fridge when it quit reminded me that I do not need a full-sized fridge. This fridge fits everything which I need. Interestingly, the egg tray holds only nine eggs. The extra eggs I put in one of the can holders. Defrosting is as easy as the push of a red button. The door is a bit crooked but I'lol figure out how to fix that one.

Got damaged, metal on the side of the fridge is bent, the door does not stays on because the hinge got somehow bent out of place. I cant return it because I ll have to drop it in a USP wich is 4 hours from where I live or I do have to pay for the shipping wich amazon refund 3.99 for..Now Ill have to find a way to bent this thing back in place so I can use it.First time Im disappointed from ordering on amazon, I guess I should stick to small items.
