Marathon LCD Dial with Resin Strap Watch

I tried and tried to get the correct time on the watch and could not figure out how to use it. It had no instructions of how to set the watch. It is a pretty watch and is suppose to be waterproof, but what good is it if you can not put the time on it.

Battery died after 6 weeks. Took it to a watch shop to get a new battery. The new battery didn't work so the watch is just dead. It was 2 weeks after the return period so out of the money. Also, the watch didn't come with instructions, so figuring out how to change the settings took quite a bit of trial and error.

Setting this requires a childs size fingers and also a younger person’s eyesight. I’ll keep it, but I have been wearing an old one. Bad design.

Watch didn't come with instructions. The "alarm feature absolutely SUCKS!! Pain in the a** to turn off! Phone is so-so... I WOULD NOT recommend this watch!!

Horrible - do NOT buy. Child did not try the watch until 3 weeks after we got it. First time it went under water, it broke. there is clearly "steam" under the the face of the watch. Should've returned it the minute we got it when i noticed that the packing was damaged. Amazon should not be carrying this watch.

Good looking watch and water proof. Great price!!This is the second Marathon watch. The first one’s watch band broke after 2 years or so. Never changed batteries.

Nice soft band. Good fit for my small wrist. Reliable and durable!!

Marathon watches run the world!

Usually reviews are written soon after purchase, so no indication of longevity is available. However, I have had one of these for ten years, and merely fancied a change of colour - my original still works perfectly, and has never even needed a change of battery. Although it's sold as a Children's watch, I am an average sized woman, and it fits fine, with spare holes on the strap if I get bigger. I just want it to time swimming lengths, and for that it's perfect. As an openwater swimmer too I had looked at GPS waterproof watches, but none of them seem to measure distance reliably anyway. When the new one arrived, I was surprised that the instructions told me not to operate it underwater, as I always had, to no ill effect- but I won't anymore! It's very cheap compared to many sports watches, and I loved the range of colours, though my blue one isn't as turquoise as the picture implies. A nice audible "beep" when you set it going and stop, could even hear it underwater, ( though, as said, won't do that any more!)

This is my second Timex Marathon Digital LCD dial watch, differing slightly from my first model which was given to me as a gift approximately three years ago. My first watch is still in perfect working order but the resin strap broke and I have had difficulty in sourcing a replacement, hence my buying a second watch. I have been wearing my replacement (model TW5M14400) for a couple of weeks now and am extremely pleased with it - liking the size, colour (blue) and clarity of the dial. Unfortunately the 'settings' instructions included with my second watch were not written in English but luckily I'd retained the instructions from my previous watch.

This lovely watch came very quickly. I needed a small waterproof watch, this ticked the boxes. I love the colour, size, comfort on my small wrist, easy to read display. I am 63, techy side was a bit tricky! but I got there ..setting the time etc. So delighted with it.

After less than a year the little band that holds the strap down broke. Plus it’s not the easiest watch the programme but the price was good

No instructions on how to set this watch. Took it into a watchman, he managed to set the time, but alarm goes off at midnight,Googled it but still not right
