213-243 (12160244) Intake Air Temperature Sensor

good part,just was not my problem bought this to check OHM against old one & another working one, it checked out perfect. trying to chase down a very rich running 99 7.4l gm pu. won't smog, & does not have any computer error codes,AFM,IAT,MAP all check out. replaced water temp sensor, all 4 o2 sensors, fuel injectors, cap rotor plugs & wires. pu runs perfect, always has, perfect idle, fuel pressure checks out, but on smog machine it is getting raw fuel like 6x normal. my research says this part IAT can easily cause this, well not for me,lol

This fixed two engine lights (the "hey, check out your engine sometime soon" and the "hey, don't drive this car at all" engine lights) on our 2003 Saturn Vue. The engine fan would run on high ALL the time, for years. We didn't feel like paying to have the code read at a dealer for $100. Bought an awesome code reader (Blue Driver) on Amazon recently that reads Saturn (local auto store code reader cannot read it), found out it was this part that went bad, bought the part, installed in just a few minutes, and voila! No more engines lights and now the engine fan runs on low like normal. I will be leaving a review for the code reader next! Amazon is our go to place for OEM parts for our cars. We usually save substantially compared to local auto stores and their high markups.

The intake air sensor is great the packaging is poor for a plastic part. I guess a cardboard box would raise the price 50 cents. It did fix my rough idle when the engine was warm so it's well worth the money.

Oem doesn’t get any better

This is the Intake Air Temperature Sensor that is post air filter/pre-throttle body. It measures the temperature of the incoming air to help the computer to adjust the air fuel mix. Over time these can become dirty and less effective or damaged. Cleaning these can help though solvents should not be used. If replacement is needed at least the cost is low and can be done in about two minutes by yourself. These are very easy to install since you just unplug them and pull them out of a rubber grommet and insert them back in. The plastic material is not strong and will break apart easily if you use metal tools with this sensor pretty easily. To avoid damage, especially to the circular part of the plastic that mounts flush on either a new sensor or if checking a sensor you are not going to throw away. Very simple installation. Unplug, remove old sensor, insert new sensor in to lubricated grommet and plug back in. I have been finding some good priced on OEM GM parts lately on Amazon such as a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) and IAC (Idle Air Control Valve) both of which even those not mechanically inclined can install themselves easily with a torx bit screwdriver. I am now checking Amazon for other OEM GM replacement parts.

This works. I Ordered this 9/3/23 was $13.72 now $18.72 {10-26-24} and says will not work. It works. Check the MAP sensor OTUAYAUTO Map Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor - Replacement for 1985-2004 OEM# 12569240. Check your O2 sensor replacement it is cheap. May to fix this hose or rotten --APDTY 707211 Engine Air Intake Throttle Body Hose. This will work.
