Works good
I’m really happy with this Keco PET Braided Expandable Cable Sleeve. I used it to clean up the rats' nest of wires behind my desk, and it makes everything look so much more professional and organized. The 1/4 inch size is perfect for grouping a few cables together, and the braid has just enough stretch to pull over connectors without being a total pain to work with. It feels durable enough for automotive use too, but for home electronics, it’s a total game-changer for getting that high-end, custom look. Just make sure to singe the ends with a lighter after cutting so it doesn't fray, and you're good to go!

Use some heat
The braiding expands nicely as I shoved 4 14G wires through these and 2 10G while building harnesses. I bought the 1/4”. The product will untwine if you do not use a hot knife or something equivalent. The braiding will start unraveling. All this wiring was getting tucked away and I torched the ends, snipped the goop and then lightly torched the ends again for a nice finish. Either way they were finished off with tape as this is being used for automotive work. Over all it’s a cheap way to get the wires all bundled together without a nightmare of plastic loom. So if you can get passed the extra steps or have a hot knife it is worth the value

Good for Cats
Cat loves to play with it, but it keeps all my cables safe from it. It's a nice, sleek, stretchy mesh you can push together to get more space for multiple cables at once. It's easy to cut with scissors, and the plastic is nice and strong. While thin, the strong plastic puts up with abuse from the cat just fine.

Fraying issues
The cable sleeve works great until you cut it. Both ends of the sleeve are woven in a way that keeps the structure together. However, when you cut a section off, the braid is now open, which leaves it susceptible to fraying and unweaving which worsens as you attempt threading a cable through. This wouldn’t be as problematic if there was a slit down the side, as you could just glue/melt/etc., the cut end to close the fray off, but the fully enclosed tube means that if you make the end rigid, you can’t fit anything through that is larger than the tube, and unfortunately most cable heads are much larger than the cable itself. In summary, unless you have a 100+ foot cable that doesn’t require cutting the sleeve to length, I’d recommend searching for an alternative that has the slit down the side, rather than the fully closed tube design, to both allow cutting to size, as well as a more ergonomic way to feed the cable into the sleeve.
