Great Safety Product
We have been pleased with this product. It does exactly what is advertised and has kept the toddler from accessing the basement and the pantry. Hasn't scratched handles or doors, and love that an adult can remove as needed. We have glass door knobs and it can be tricky for the adult, too, if your hands aren't perfectly dry or you don't know how to bypass the safety mechanism (as was the case with the babysitter who had to remove them when she couldn't figure out how to open the door). As for removing, the babysitter figured it out, but our toddler has not. I found the pieces difficult to snap together and remove - just what I wanted in this product - and expect my toddler to be unsuccessful when she figures out it can be removed.Highly recommend.

Do the job, but even a little hard for adults to use at times!
Our 2 y.o. is way too interested in doors. This device is great to keep her out of the pantry and laundry room, where she can get into too much trouble. It is a little hard for her older siblings to open at times, and even parents when we are in a hurry! A great device, but am a little concerned what would happen if there was an emergency and seconds mattered! We have had other devices we bought at baby superstores that have a similar purpose and a little easier to open for big kids & adults. Probably would look to buy those again (at a higher price) than these.

Worth buying!
A lil higher in price compared to the safety 1st door knob cover when i bought them but this Munchkin although only 2 count works better. they have more secure lock and toddlers can't easily dissemble it that way. Very sleek design and now i'm at ease that my kids wouldn't end up wandering outside without me knowing. They are 3 1/2 and 2 yrs old and they can be sneaky sometimes. I don't have any problem opening the door knob myself because this is the style i wanted and picked to buy after researching door locks. For me it's easy to install by snapping them together and very easy to operate.

Worth the piece of mind
These things are a nightmare. I CANT EVEN OPEN MY DOORS!!! So itโs perfect for the kids!!In full disclosure both my doors need to be rehung and with out the child proof cover things itโs hard to open them. But they keep our two year old daughter from turning the knobs. My wife has just once in a rush going to work pulled the thing off the door handle but I put it back on and everything still works great.

my toddler can get these off.
I used these for about three months and they worked pretty well. They take some getting used to to use, but are easy enough, for adults of course, to get fingers into to turn doorknob and also to get at the lock. However, not long ago my toddler (almost two) was able to get it off the doorknob. He was pulling on the cover and it flew apart because it unsnapped. The snap mechanism sticks out, so I think he was able to get enough of a grip to get it apart.I've stopped using these now and have switched to a different design.

and were useless. At least we could easily return those to ...
We hesitated buying these online because we had first tried some covers we bought at Walmart (Safety First brand), and they were too small. Couldn't fit around our door knobs, and were useless. At least we could easily return those to Walmart. But, still needed covers that fit, and weren't finding anything different in a local store. So, we took a chance on these and just got one pack to try since returning online can be a pain. No info in the descriptions or reviews helped me feel confident that these would be bigger than the Safety First brand, and fit our knobs. I'm happy to say that these fit perfectly! So, I'm writing this review so that anyone else out there in my situation with knobs too big for covers you can find in Walmart, these are bigger and fit great. The back of the package says it fits knobs up to 2 3/8" wide. - info I wish I could find before ordering. So, now that I know these work, I've ordered more for the rest of the doors that need a cover. Our 2 year old twins can not get doors open with these now. They stand there and spin it around the knob. They haven't broken on us....very sturdy. Takes the big people in my family maybe 2 seconds longer to open the doors now, but that's a slight inconvenience compared to mega amounts of time cleaning up whatever the twins get into if they can get into forbidden rooms. It isn't hard to open doors with these at all, unless you're one of my two year olds!

Does the Job!
I purchased these to prevent a headstrong toddler from opening the door to the deck and downstairs. They are fairly easy to open and re-close and are working well to prevent him from using the door knob. I believe he is (and this could be because I am biased) a fairly intelligent guy and is very good with using tools and puzzles and yet he has not been able to work around these covers and get them off or use the door. My only small gripe is that the holes in the front where the lock would be are a bit small. I have small hands so it's not a huge issue for me to get in there and unlock or lock the door, but for my husband he does have some issues with being able to use the lock. There isn't really a negative to making the hole a little bit bigger. My child has way tinier hands so it's not like the small hole prevents him from reaching the lock if he wanted to.

Five Stars
Unlike the safety first door knob covers these actually fit over the handles!

Its great for baby proofing the house
Its great for baby proofing the house.Only drawback being the little hole in the design because of which kids can poke finger to push & lock the door. I had to seal it with a piece of metal and tape from the inside to hide the push lock of the knob.A design flaw that should be rectified.
