Excellent
Even though it is plastic, it is very sturdy and being plastic it is lightweight. Very nice product and very useful if you are constantly changing eyepieces in your telescope.

Poor Quality
Its good for summer use but if its cold like in winter doesn't work well. Price is good also.If eyepieces are in the turret when outside is cold they are hard to get out.If you need to insert an eyepiece in it, it doesn't fit when cold.I threw my turret in the trash as it was useless.

Yes! It works well on a Newtonian and Dobsonian telescopes and with Binoviewer
This is the second time I buy this eyepiece revolver. I know it's expensive but it's worth it. In the poduct features it says in the last bullet this revolver ( requires back focus...hence not for use on Newtonian and Dobsonian ) ... Forget it!! Just use a barlow lens and you are done and enjoy. and buy the way, I DO HAVE a Newtonian telescope Celestron Astromaster 130Eq. I tested the revolver that I already have with a binoviewer and it worked also on the Astromaster.Update:The delivery started in 5th April 2020. I had to send it to Beirut Lebanon using a forwarder called Shipito.com. it arrived 15th June 2020.the worst packaging ever. the original cardbox of the revolver is ripped off.

Excellent Astro Accessory
I didn't buy this here. I want to encourage others who want convenience to try this turret. Changing telescope magnification is a breeze, and the chances of dropping an eyepiece are eliminated. Two reasons for four stars: Very overpriced for an all-plastic accessory, and the included screws must be replaced with nylon. Otherwise, you WILL scratch the eyepiece barrels. The price should be half of what it is. However, it is terrific.

Good quality and does the job.
There hasn't been a usable turret eyepiece holder since Unitron made its hex (for 0.965 in eyepieces) - there was another, metal one on the market lately, but mighty heavy and with a telescope, weight counts. After all, you're adding the weight of the turret and as many as four eyepieces on the long end of a lever which magnifies every tremor. So that's why the fact this is made of plastic is a good feature - feather weight. It still has the German quality - durable and the click-stop is solid and sure. So overcome your disappointment that it isn't steel and go for it. Changing eyepieces in the dark robs you of the time you could spend observing, not to mention the hassle of trading and maybe dropping them. The only other option is a zoom and I do have and use one of them (Vixen - also click stop). Both have advantages. The advantage of the Baader turret is when seeing is exceptional and I can put in my Brandons for planetary views - that is, using specialized eyepieces, Yep, eighty bucks is a significant amount of money for a plastic item, but this is not just any plastic item. It does have the quality and it works just fine. PS the end of this turret which mates with the focusser is threaded for filters, so you do not have to remove and replace such a filter when changing eyepieces.

Baader Is Okay!
Not bad...I was able to use this with my camera...which allowed me to keep the object in view and then switch over to the camera...its not a must have item. Its quite easy to swap eyepieces...we have become so damn lazy.
