I ordered a bunch of individual Wera Zyklop metric sockets from Amazon in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch drive sizes. Most of them came quite beat up. The sockets have a plain, satin surface. They are not chrome-plated as with most sockets for sale in the US. The surface is very easily scratched, and Wera and/or Amazon must store them unprotected in a large bin. It's only cosmetic damage to the finish, but it's annoying as these aren't cheap sockets, and they look very used already.The sockets are made in Taiwan. The laser engraving of the size is poor as it is very light on all the sockets. The lettering is not dark at all like in the product photos. I think the lettering will be obscured quickly if the sockets get much heavy use. And I wonder why Wera doesn't engrave the size on at least two sides of the sockets? Laser engraving is not an expensive process.As for actual functionality, the interior of the sockets appears to be well-machined. I have not checked the tolerances yet with calipers.In summary, I suspect that you are better off saving yourself the money and buying a much cheaper also made-in-Taiwan socket set for about 1/4 the price.

I’ve bought this manufacturer name before in another tool, I can honestly say it’s really good gear . I don’t doubt that this will work .
