They're one of the earliest meat substitutes and one of the best. We used to have huge cookouts with these and they're great off the grill.

A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!! Besides the fact that the cans have shrunk from 8 Big Frank's to 6 with only increases in price I was looking through the reviews and saw a picture of the exact thing that happened to me. The can was dented and the Frank's were black on the ends! I didn't contact the company, even though they are very expensive & the person who submitted the picture got no help for several ruined cans so it might have been a waste of time anyway..

My kids have only known Big Franks for the past 30 years. They've tasted Beef franks and still prefer Loma Linda Big Franks. As adults now, my kids say Big Franks bring them back to their childhood tastes. Be advised, the can size is now 15 ounces. Six franks per can. The former size was 20 ounces, eight franks per can. I did not read the new can size, my error. So, my surprise. Still, I will purchase again and again.

Great vegetarian hot dog option that doesn’t need to be refrigerated. So nice to be able to have these on hand in the pantry! When needed, they can be easily microwaved, simmered, or grilled. Delicious taste without the overly strong hot dog taste- perfect. I do think they’re too expensive, I only have them as a special treat- which is weird for “hot dogs” ! Lol

I'm afraid my 5-decade friendship with Loma Linda products has come to an end. Because of the reduction in can size and quantity per can, I stopped buying the Big Franks a couple of years ago. Then I had a real hankering and bought again. Absolutely tasteless! I guess I'll keep the rest of the cans in my apocalypse bunker.
