Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Social Studies: Workbook Grade 3

Great Workbook
I love these workbooks and last year we used them for all subjects for both kids. Some of them weren’t the best for my 7th grader but I liked them for my 2nd grader. I like that it actually has a lesson then some questions and activities. I was surprised to find out not all workbooks are like this and some don’t really have lessons. This has the answers in the back of them even when mom gets stumped on a question. These are a great affordable option for homeschoolers on a tight budget.

Bought this to homeschool 9 yr old I bought a book that had every course in it and seemed to run out of social studies work before the second month. And to my surprise this book was what I needed to complete his studies.

Overall Good Grade 3 Book, Uses Outdated Terminology
Simple and effective lessons. Varied review types and types of lessons. Stories, maps, pictures etc. One chapter, uses outdated terminology to describe indigenous people. It is what it is. My child already understands why that term was used and what it means to people today so it was just another opportunity to reaffirm that discussion.
