Perfect!!
I got this watch to replace one I had for over 35 years and its just what I needed! Service was perfect and it arrived in a box inside a padded bag, so I don't know what the one reviewer was complaining about! If you're one of those people like me who doesn't want some cheapo cheapo plastic piece of digital garbage that will break if you look at it the wrong way, this is for you....a good old-fashioned stopwatch that keeps accurate time! And really, what more could you want? I'm sure it will get plenty of use over the coming years in the classroom timing student presentations and when you're using it for something like that, you need accuracy. Great seller....great product...a person can't ask for more!!

Really 0 stars. Watch looks nice, OK at first but went wonky in days! AVOID SELLER "AthleticStuff"
RATING should really be ZERO stars! UPDATE: I finally heard from seller "AthleticStuff" asking for more info. I replied promptly and it took days to get the courtesy of a reply. Their most recent message to me suggested I didn't know I had to or knew how to WIND it! WTF is up with seller "AthleticStuff"?Based on my bonafide nightmare experience I WOULD ADVISE AVOIDING THIS item and especially the seller "AthleticStuff."The stopwatch I got was totally unreliable within a few days use uses. It was to get light usage for long digital camera time exposures. It was always properly wound, which you need to do often with a mechanical stopwatch, never overwound or jarred or dropped. Then one day it lost it's mechanical mind and might or might not start or stop with crown press. (Maybe loose filings inside case from being made in an unclean manufacturing facility?) It acted like bits inside the case were getting caught in the clockwork causing it to stop or hesitate as gears turned or the case was tipped. I have confirmed that the mechanism will ALWAYS FAIL if it is started in a flat horizontal position then tipped up by 15° or so. Hate to return it, but for actual use this nice looking stopwatch is unreliable junk. If I had the means I would attach a demo video of it's absolute uselessness. If you are thinking of using this for something serious. . .you have been warned NOT to. The other day it started resetting to 8 seconds instead of Zero. It took several starts, stops and resets for it to reset right back to zero. Junk inside the watch seems likely but I don't even know of a real jeweler/watch repairer who could look at it.

Nice stopwatch
I've been looking for an analog stopwatch for a long time now, and I'm glad to have found this on Amazon. The product is made in China, so it has some ways to go in terms of workmanship and finish. But as a stopwatch, it works like a charm.I've tested it alongside a digital stopwatch and the results are spot on.The construction is also fairly robust, although I wouldn't recommend dropping it (especially if it lands face down). Best to keep it attached to a lanyard around your neck, especially if you have big hands.

but I have never liked the new digital stopwatches
Call me old fashioned, but I have never liked the new digital stopwatches. To many buttons, and not the right click when the timer is stopped. The stopwatch is half scaled, so that it takes 2 times around to make a minute, this is great for track and field timing, and also great for timing runners on the football field. I also used it recently at the racetrack for horses just find out how close it was to electronic timing, was surprised at how accurate it was. Great product that brings back memories of my youth.

Consider it disposable! It doesn't last long.
Based on the reviews, it was apparent this has some longevity issues, but I had been hoping to get at least one year's worth usage before it broke, ... but alas! ... Nope. :-( Only 9 months

Very fine movement, second hand moves like a Rolex.
Old school stop watch and still useful. In this day of digital time keeping, many of my younger students (not academia) marvel at the round device. The older students recognize the time piece.

A Happy Huband
This was a long time Christmas Gift for my husband after watching 60 Minutes for years, he would always say I want that Stop Watch. I could not find it in the stores. Thanks Amazon for having the things that are hard to find in local stores. My husband love it and just to see the smile on his face makes me happy. Thanks

Good return to a classic item
I was looking for a nice stopwatch to use at my desk for timing the amount of time I spend working. I was really tired of cheap timepieces, so I went looking for something a little nicer. This is just what I was looking for.As another reviewer mentioned, the "glass" appears to be made of plastic, but it looks and acts just fine, so that's not a big deal. The mechanism works well, and it's nice not to have a battery to replace. (I haven't tried timing how long it takes to wind down completely, but it's certainly several hours.) It's just the right weight so that it feels solid without being uncomfortably heavy.Minor gripes:I sort of wish the short hand was a little bit longer than 15 minutes, but for my purposes I can always work out how many sets of 15 minutes I've spent. This product was also a little bit pricey for the actual quality--while I'm not disappointed with it, it's not quite the level I was expecting for $60. That said, this was the only reasonably-priced model of modern analog stopwatch with good reviews that I found with a small amount of research. As I only use it at my desk, I'm not particularly worried about dropping it. If you're using it while out and about, you'll definitely want a lanyard, since it's not going to be as forgiving as a $2 digital stopwatch.Edit: After about two years, the crown came entirely out of the body of the stopwatch and won't go back in. I have no idea if this is a simple issue or not because I haven't been able to find a place that can do real repairs on watches near me.
