Still the best on the market for the price
No bad blanks in this pack either and only one error in hundreds so far and it was correctable anyway (~600 of these I think so far). Most of the ones I've bought have been from Runtechmedia but I've bought from a few other sites also and haven't experienced any issues.I am using imgburn (free, best burning app on the planet IMHO-donate if you like it)LG WH12LS39K for a burner and burn most at 4x - if its really important data I'll either verify or burn at 2x. This drive will burn them at 8x, but I never do it and don't care too. I'm not burning so many that I can't wait a little longer. I'm usually doing something else on the PC while burning so I don't even notice the time. You should get the same results with the WH14NS40 for ~$70 here on amazon (#1 best seller here, newegg shows excellent ratings)For more on what I'm using these for see my review of the LG BP325W bluray player here on amazon (and comments on that review), which has settings, apps used etc for ripping (some bitrate basics in there too), how to dump cabletv (if memory serves) etc. Be forewarned - it's long and I really don't want to repeat it all here :)If you burn a few coasters in a row on these, I'd say update your firmware, update your software or consider a new burner if yours is PRE 4x discs. Probably the most important piece of advice I can give is check the media maker to make sure their blanks are compatible with your drive. If they don't have that info check your drive maker for compatibility info for these discs (or any discs you buy). If you don't do that first you're asking for trouble. IF your drive is made for 2x or lower discs you may have issues if your burner manufacturer hasn't updated the firmware on their drives for the latest disc speeds. The same can be said for 8x etc. If you just bought 8x discs, and have a 4x burner you may have an issue with your firmware. This is usually the problem if you're burning bad discs constantly. It is NOT the discs fault, they aren't bad in 95% of the cases you read. It's the device makers fault or yours for not updating the firmware on the burner if one is available (less often it's your software needing an update). Of course if you check these things before BUYING you'll avoid most issues :) If you're too late and already bought, and none of the above works, set them aside for when you replace your drive or can sell them to a friend or something. No point in burning dozens of bad ones over a compatibility issue. Compatibility issues won't go away until you change something (you have to fix it if possible). Good luck.

As mom says this is a Good, nice and cheap.
Well I see some bad reviews for this item but I took my chances because the price for each gigabyte in each disc is USD$0,03 is less than a half the price of a cheap Internal hard drive, so this is a no brainier.I bought two packs along with my new burner: Samsung SE-506AB/TSBD 6X USB2.0 External Slim Blu-ray Writer Drive (Black) , I have less than a day with both, a total of 18 discs burned so far, all of them are Ok, all looks fine on Nero SpeedDisc tool, both lines on the graph are growing smoothly so the discs are well burned. This discs works at 4x I'm working with Nero and they allow to burn a maximum of 23,3 GB, so this is really great.I realized that is a lot cheaper and safe for me, store my information inside Blu ray discs than in Hard drives, I have two accidents with my hard drives this year and the loss of information was huge for me, so I feel safer with my data in an optical disc. These discs identify themselves as "Phillps" inside the Nero DiscSpeed, is just curious for me, they are working great for now, I will write again if something wrong happens with the time.Well by the time I wrote this paragraph, I have burned 50 discs, the results where 48 in good shape and 2 damaged, both of them come soon in the stack something like the 10th disc and here are my conclusions:1) Burn this discs at 2X, while they can be burned at 4X, after checking my first discs at 4X I noticed by using Nero SpeedDisc, that the graph shown is not smooth, have some pecks and that is not good, points that the burner made an effort, the information was ok but the results by the tool was enough for me to take a little bit more of time and burn them at 2X2) Leave the hard drive where the burning information is, quiet, I mean my coaster comes because I start to move files to build the next disc, since we are talking of building a 25Gb disc the amount of information being moved is huge, so while I do that the buffer in Nero Burning Room, drains and I got my bad disc, but was my fault, now I build the next disc while I verify the information written on the current disc so there is no problem, but when the burning process start, I go to see TV or something to avoid the temptation of use the hard drive. So after 50 discs burned, just 2 fail and where because I play with the hard drive while it was burning, so this discs are great for the price, they are the first BD-R that I have on my hands and I'm happy with the results, definitely I will get more of this when I need more BD-R.

Very hit and miss with these discs
They are better priced than most other brands, however you do get what you pay for. 20% of the discs failed to even be recognized by my 2 top of the line blu-ray burners, and many times they were only recognized after some trial and error on my part, such as unplugging and rebooting my burner drives for example.I will likely go back to the higher priced brands that deliver more consistent results.

Desagradable sorpresa!!!
