Exactly what I was looking for
This is a great standing platform that has many uses. It was easy and self-explanatory to put together. The supporting structures seem well made and sturdy and best of all, it has a generous 16"x19.75" work surface. The only drawback is that the plastic material of the surface, although well secured with bolts, is pretty thin and may not last if one leans too much on it.Overall it's a good purchase for the price point.

Sit-stand desk Pros/Cons List
Got this as a sit-stand desk. Enough room for my laptop and maybe a cup of coffee. Really love it!Pros:1. Great price! @< $50 hard to find a legit desk2. Sturdy. It's not going to tip over even fully extended. There is a little bit of wobble from the top desk but nothing from the legs. Likewise, it's not going to break without serious misuse.3. Stores in the closet compactly. Will store exponentially smaller than any other design of desk.4. Folds down and sets up very quickly. Quite frankly I was tempted by the Pneumatic and Crank adjustment desks. They are totally overkill and don't store nicely. First try I extended this from sit to stand with my laptop on it in seconds.5. So light weight and agile i can move it to any room in my house quickly for a change of scenery.Cons:1. The table top is a few inches smaller than I would like. It fits a mouse but barely. I can write notes on a large post-it but again would love a few extra inches. Candidly if the company offers a bigger top I'd buy it extra and swap out the one that comes with it.2. The table top is a bit wobbly. The legs are not wobbly, so no risk of tipping over. I feel comfortable to put a coffee or drink on it. The annoying part is that when typing the wiggle causes my laptop screen to wiggles just enough to be distracting.

Good sturdy stand
I got the stand to use as a portable desk for my laptop. The picture showed my MacBook 16" on the stand. Plenty of space on the tray. I like it very much. If there is one weakness, that would be the tray is plastic. But not a big deal. The steel rod is 1.5" in diameter. It is really sturdy. But it is heavier than other stand. It holds my Epson projector very well. This is definitely super sized better than my other stand. With the lock, the tray stay raised to the height. Pretty happy with the Pyle stand. Not so happy about the Amazon warehouse though. I bought this item used, so someone must have returned it. There was missing parts. The screws and nuts were just dangling in the big box, not in plastic bags. It was missing a nut and a washer. Just bad that Amazon warehouse didn't check for missing parts. I could have returned it to Amazon, but decided to try Pyle support. I contacted Pyle for the missing parts. GOOD customer service from Pyle through email. They took my request as warranty service and shipped the parts. It took a few days to get from New York. One note was that the Pyle service representative asked me to take a picture of the missing parts. I supposed if the part was missing, how could I take a picture of the missing part. Anyway, I was glad and happy that they tried to help. At the end it worked out. I got the stand working.I also use it as a standing desk as well.5-Star for Pyle standby their product4-Star for Pyle customer service.5-star for the quality of the stand.

Sturdy Tri-Pod
When I opened the box, I was impressed with the thick and sturdy tri-pod legs. I am using this as a portable laptop/projector stand for mobile presentations. The platform will hold my laptop and projector at the same time, which is why I bought it. Since the legs are thick and adjustable, you don't have to worry too much about it getting bumped and falling over.... unless someone tackles it.The thing I don't like about it is the plastic support brackets that mount the platform to the tri-pod. They snapped in half after about 4 uses. After I put away the laptop and projector away, I would tilt the platform to the side and fold the legs for storage. I loosened the wingnuts enough to allow it to to tilt and leaned it against a wall. It slipped and hit the ground, causing the plastic to "snap" with the force of the impact. I tried gluing it back together with JB WELD, but even that did not hold. Finally, I went to a home improvement store and bought 2 conduit hangers, a couple wingnuts, and two steel support brackets with pre-drilled holes. I drilled two small holes in between the holes already on the platform and secured it to the conduit hangers and brackets. Now it works even better and is more sturdy. If you are using the original plastic brackets, be very careful not to drop it. If you are tilting and adjusting the platform, make sure you loosen it completely to not add stress to the brackets.

Very light but sturdy, perfect for a stand-up desk setup that's portable
I bought two of these projector stands to use as a portable stand up desk (laptop on one and keyboard on the other). They work perfectly for this. They're sturdy and I find myself comfortable enough that I can even lean on the top a little. The top plate is large enough for a keyboard and mouse side by side (as long as it's not a keyboard with a number pad). The base is much sturdier than the top plate which is a good thing. If you lean on the plate too much you can feel it bending so you back off before you have any risk of tipping the thing over. This is good, useful feedback because it's easy to forget that this isn't a full stand up desk and you shouldn't really be leaning on it. These fold down a lot to take up very little space. They're lightweight but VERY sturdy. Plate can be locked at any angle and have never slipped on me from the position I set.

Handy and sturdy
These are handy items. I use one as a sit-down-standup desk. My partner uses one for holding art utensils while she's painting. The top is thin and a little flexible, but I have a large cutting board that fits perfectly and makes it a nice desktop.

Very good product
For the price is very good, sturdy and easy to set up. Didn't give 5 stars because the platform I thought it would be very robust but no, it gets kind of blended on the sides a little bit, but overall it's big enough and with a bit of care it should last a good amount of time.
