They are pretty impossible to tip over unless you physically push them. They physically weigh 132 grams (or about 5 ounces). The base is heavy and wide, which is what holds it down well. I think they will stand up to wind but I am not sure as it might depend on how large your sign would be (as that could act as a sail). **Q: Will these support a 5x7 acrylic square?** A: That's difficult to answer, because it depends on the acrylic. The rings are very tight, made for either paper or very thin plastic cards, so if the acrylic is very thick, it would be hard to get into the rings, and if it's too thin it might make it hard for the page to stay up straight. **Q: Are these heat resistant? Heavy /stable enough to hold a 5x7 piece of heavy cardstock (portrait). Seems like they will last for a long time.
