## Description

AmSteel-Blue is a high-performance 12-strand single braid of 100% Dyneema fiber, AmSteel-Blue yields the maximum strength-to-weight ratio, very low stretch, and is stronger than the same sized wire rope—but it's so light, it floats. It has extremely low stretch, superior flex fatigue, and wear resistance. Made with Dyneema fiber, AmSteel-Blue is Samthane coated, which enhances the fiber's already high abrasion and cut resistant characteristics. It's the highest strength single braid Samson makes. Samthane coating enhances this rope's already high abrasion and cut resistance. AmSteel-Blue is recommended for split-drum winch applications. It is not recommended for use on H-bitts, capstans, or cleats if surging or rendering the rope is required. AmSteel-Blue has been verified by ABS according to MEG4, and is type approved by: ABS, BV, DNV, Lloyd's, and RMRS. AmSteel-Blue is available with the option of sustainable, bio-sourced fiber. Review: Strong cordage - Appears to be genuine Amsteel cordage. The hank came with a Samson pamphlet and looks and feels genuine. Hollow core, easily braidable with standard tools. Purchased this to upgrade my hammock suspension. This cordage really is incredible. It is hard to believe that such small looking cord can support so much weight, but this stuff really is strong.
Review: Perfect when paracord is too stretchy - I used this to set up an aluminet tarp as a shade structure. Aluminet tarps are not meant to be tensioned too tightly, and the grommets can pull out and tear fairly easily from pulling. So to keep the tarp secure and relatively tight, we made a "frame" of this cord, ran it through the grommets, and left extra space. Worked perfectly, because I can tension this cord as much as I like without it stretching or pulling, and the elastic bobbles stretch to accomodate the tarp. I have a nice straight and flat tarp without putting a lot of stress on the grommets! The cord is super sturdy and durable, and difficult to cut (which means it won't break easily). The company is also very responsive. Originally my order went to the wrong address, so I contacted them to get it replaced. They were willing to send out a new order for me free of charge, but the person who got my package actually came and delivered it to me! I appreciate their good customer service, even though I didn't end up needing it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strong cordage

Appears to be genuine Amsteel cordage. The hank came with a Samson pamphlet and looks and feels genuine. Hollow core, easily braidable with standard tools. Purchased this to upgrade my hammock suspension. This cordage really is incredible. It is hard to believe that such small looking cord can support so much weight, but this stuff really is strong.

I used this to set up an aluminet tarp as a shade structure. Aluminet tarps are not meant to be tensioned too tightly, and the grommets can pull out and tear fairly easily from pulling. So to keep the tarp secure and relatively tight, we made a "frame" of this cord, ran it through the grommets, and left extra space. The corners of the tarp are secured to the cord with elastic bobbles. Worked perfectly, because I can tension this cord as much as I like without it stretching or pulling, and the elastic bobbles stretch to accomodate the tarp. I have a nice straight and flat tarp without putting a lot of stress on the grommets! The cord is super sturdy and durable, and difficult to cut (which means it won't break easily). The company is also very responsive. Originally my order went to the wrong address, so I contacted them to get it replaced. Not much to write about this cord except that it is incredibly strong and works well for camping hammock suspension especially if you can work a fid splice.
