This bar lathers brilliantly. Just a couple swipes across your hair and you have SO MUCH lather. It's wonderful as shampoo, face cleanser and body soap. I love everything about this bar so I purchased the two other fragrances as well. Unfortunately, the other fragrances didn't appeal to me so I offered them as gifts to friends. I will NOT return them for a refund because I LOVE the concept of the company that provides free showers to homeless people. I will recommend this product to all my friends because it's such a good feeling to use a great product that is remarkably cheaper by the ounce than any other shampoo bar and to know that you are helping homeless people have the dignity to keep themselves clean. The fragrances are very strong and as I said, this one I absolutely love but the ginger curry one for some reason, was too much for me in the shower so I use it instead as dish cleaner in my kitchen and it's perfect for that. I keep the bar in a soap dish on the kitchen sink and then when I wash my dishes and even my fruit/veggies, I wipe a cloth across the bar and then wash with the cloth. It's perfect because it's natural and does not contain any harmful chemicals.

Smells nice. Fine for body, inadequate for curly hair.

This soap is alright. I thought it was great given how big it was until I hit it and realized I don’t have very big hands especially when it’s wet. But it’s fine now that I’ve used it a bit. What really attracted me is the honeysuckle. But honestly although it smells good it really isn’t scented much which may be good for those who have problems with strong scents. I also use it on my face which on combo side without any problems. The color Looks pretty in the shower.

I can't use this in my hair without a conditioner, but it's a gentle soap!

First of all - OMG the smell! It is delicious. It lathers really well and rinses off easily. It is great value because it is such a huge bar - it is basically two bars. I recommend cutting it in half because it is really quite unwieldy to manage as it is. One of the best parts of this is that it is really dense - it lasts a long time and doesn't disintegrate in the shower. One caveat - it is a little hard to "break in." The first time you use the bar, the edges are hard and it took a bit to get a lather - but after that first use - it is a breeze. Really recommend this one.

It smells amazing and it lathers up really well. I love that some of the money goes to mobile showers for people living on the streets. I saw a documentary on this and I love it. I will be happy to buy it just because it goes to a good cause and now I love it for how awesome it smells and works. I hope these are the same bars of soap given to people for the mobile showers. Everyone deserves to shower with these and it's good for the environment. I'm impressed.

Plusses: This soap gets my hair clean. It's sulfate free. It comes in a box - no plastic pollution. Big bar. Great price and a portion goes to a great cause.I have only used the tangerine scent. It is not strong and therefore doesn't last making your skin and hair smell good all day. This is ok with me though - I like neutral. You definitely need to use conditioner after shampooing.

Hate that this is advertised as a shampoo bar at all. IT IS NOT. Do not buy if you are looking for a shampoo bar. It will literally make your hair feel “squeaky” after its rinsed out. It will leave SOOOOOO MUCH residue in your hair. Like grey, sticky, residue. It will come out on your brush.Then when your hair is dry, it will become stiff toward the ends. Your hair will become greasy very fast. Like I’m talking one day.I can’t speak for how it performs as a soap bar. It’s probably fine but I honestly just don’t even wanna touch it anymore. I used it twice before I went back to a previous bottled shampoo.Also, if you’re looking for an ethical brand.... Unilever products ain’t it, sis. The company is known for greenwashing (when I product advertises as “eco friendly” or “green product” but it is false or exaggerated) I didn’t notice it was produced by them. I honestly didn’t read the reviews. Looked at the 4/5 stars and went, yep! But NO DONT DO THAT. don’t buy this
