Champion Sports Leather Medicine Balls – Durable Weighted Balls for Strength, Core & Conditioning Training

I purchased this medicine ball to add to my growing home gym. I know Champion is a quality company and I saw the price of the 9/10lb 2 KG ball and couldn’t pass it up. Plus this was an actual medicine ball not a slam ball, I wanted a real old school medicine ball, this one is that. At first when i unboxed it, and took off the plastic I felt a bunch of sand and got worried. That is completely normal. The ball was in perfect condition and felt exactly the way I wanted it to feel. I’ve already used it twice and it’s perfect. Good quality, no odd smells, great feel when you are holding it. Perfectly sized and weight too. It will definitely last! I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. For the price you can’t beat this ball. Some other sellers were offering cheaper priced slam balls and then they would say medicine ball in the description so it’s confusing. This is a medicine ball, made of leather and you can’t feel anything shaking around inside it’s great. It came next day as promised so shipping was on point. I will definitely be purchasing a heavier version of this same ball to add to my gym in the next month or so. Thanks for being exactly like described and still making the quality we all care about! Great quality and a great addition to our home gym,. Easy to grip and can be used in so many ways

I'll admit, I chose this particular medicine ball because it was a little "retro" looking. I planned to use it often and, because it might be seen sitting around the house, I wanted it to look good. There's not much to say... it's a weighted ball. I will say that it appears to be made VERY well. I see no eveidence of anything that will even try to come apart. Others have mentioned that it is a little slick and this is true. It certainly will not have the same grip as a rubber ball. I do suspect that, as the leather wears, it will grip a little better. IMO, the fact that the ball may have a little "slip" quality to it makes the workout a little better as you have to work harder to keep control of the ball. In any event, once hands are sweaty... it grips well. Overall, it's a perfect functioning AND good looking medicine ball.

Just received this ball in the 10lb version, unfortunately I had to return it due to the size. The ball itself looked pretty decent, and the price was right, but if you're used to a crossfit sized ball (~14"), then this is not the ball for you. This ball if I had to eyeball it, is around 9-10", noticeably smaller. The ball cost $18 in shipping to return due to 3rd party vendor, so not worth ordering just to test it, decide if you don't mind a smaller ball before you order. I felt like this ball might be a bit more annoying in a small size for wall ball tosses, and definitely can't use it as an air squat "guide", but I could see it being fine for slams and other exercises. tldr: significantly smaller than regular crossfit ball, but quality seems good

Excellent quality perfect for 200 lb person in power training or for more of a challenge a person between 100 and 200 lb in power training. Not meant for someone under 100 lb my opinion as a PES and CPT as that is >10% body weight. Can also be used for balance training and strength and endurance training. Throw back and forth with a friend if you can do so safely. You may need to do strength training before so if it is too difficult.

I was searching obsessively for a classic leather medicine ball around the internet, in vintage stores and at swap meets in the bay area. I was unsuccessful as these items are rare and loved by their owners. I did find a muhammed ali everlast one as well as the $350 mezler replicas, but I wasn't that crazy about the gimmicky one nor the high price tag of the latter. I was on the everlast site, a classic brand associated with boxing and fitness, and noticed that they only carried 9-10lb balls, so I figured there was something universal and practical about this particular weight/size. I ended up purchasing this ball for well under $20 and it's been great. The stitching is legit, and the synthetic leather has a really nice grip. Lots of people try kicking it when they come over and are surprised that it's not a toy. It's a great fitness item to have around the office to play with between tasks. I am satisfied, but will hopefully find a vintage leather one with my name on it in the future.

This medicine ball arrived pretty much as specified. The leather is a little slick as new leather can be, but I wasn't expecting anything different. The weight feels good, and the blue and white colors look nice. Maybe looks shouldn't matter to a medicine ball, but I think the colorful ball looks nice. Use will wear this one in nicely. My only complaint is that there was a cut along the leather. I had used a box cutter to open the package, and because I can't be sure that I didn't cut the skin, I didn't ask for a return. If the vendor shipped a ball with that cut, then the vendor did a bad thing. I don't think that the cut will harm long-term performance. I may try to find a leather repair kit to fix the cut.

I’m super impressed by the quality of this Med ball. I honestly didn’t expect it to be such quality since it was less than $30. In the contrary, it appears that it will hold up to lots of use, the stitching seems solid and it looks good too! Even more surprising, this 10 LB ball comes in at 10.04 lbs! How’s that for calibrated?

Great medicine ball for the price, good quality leather and the stitching is holding up. This is something you could expect to find in an old school boxing gym. I use this for boxing training and ab slams, and twisting crunches.
