Illustrations and directions are so helpful for a beginner!

This book is not only a good resource, but it's just beautiful. I am a ballet teacher, and I didn't really need a terminology book, but I bought it because I loved the drawings so much. I think it's a nice book to have out to look at.

This is a classic. I love the line drawings of ballet movements. I recommend it to my students

Got this book out from the public library and I was so impressed by its thuroughness. The picture diagrams break down each movement so that its easy to understand. I had to purchase it after reading because it makes everything about the movements and positions of ballet all so clear.

This book is a Classic and a "must have" for teachers and students alike. The illustrations are beautiful and indicate the wonderful spirals and circles of the structure of the practice of the artform. The use of visual imagery in the book is invaluable.

This book provides comprehensive concise coverage of classic ballet technique. Fabulous illustrations and easy to follow descriptions. One of my 2 favorite and most consulted classic ballet books.

Absolutely stunning book with amazing drawings throughout the book clearly explaing every ballet move and goes into fine detail. This book Is great for the more experenced classical ballet dancer wanting to know extensive ballet terminolgy and technique or for ballet teachers.Side note: This is american book using the blanchine method of ballet. I use the english method RAD the royal academy of dance despite the diffrent methods of ballet this book is amazing for upping your knowlage of ballet terminolgy.-My only complaint is that unfortunately this book came to me slighly damaged at top cornor but overall this book deserves 5 stars.
