Loved the book when I was in school. A great story, that applies to todays world as it did when Orwell first wrote it. Reading it again before giving it to my Granddaughter to let her also see the evils of socialism and communism.

Will read it again in the future

You don't have to be a historian of WWII or the Cold War to understand this psychological study of what can happen when some actors decide to take over, because they feel they are superior and have the right--even the obligation--to rule over the others.

Great story! Nothing I say in this review can say anything that has not already been said better by so many people before me. Therefore I will just say that this specific clothbound classic edition is of the quality and beauty worthy of this classic story!

Meaningful introduction by C. Hitchens and very interesting appendix are supplementary information which leads you to more profound understanding of the novel.
