Buy The Landscape Photography Book: The step-by-step techniques you need to capture breathtaking landscape photos like the pros (The Photography Book Book 2): Read Books Reviews - desertcart.com Review: Great advice, simple, easy read, lots of it! - This is a really good book, buy it, read it, study it, keep it with you as a reference. Love the size format, you can easily travel with it. The one point/tip/teaching per page and a photo on every page is wonderful. The advice as well is really good, clearly explained, pointing out to what is important and why. Not camera specific, in fact, the author tries to mention what is the names of features or settings on several brand of cameras when this is appropriate to help you find the setting in your camera quicker. Will probably look for more material from Scott Kelby because of how much I am enjoying this book. Thanks Scott, we haven't met but you are now one of my photo shooting buddies. Review: A must read for wanna-be landscape photographers - Simply put, this is a fantastic guide for learning how to shoot beautiful landscape images. Mr. Kelby is an excellent communicator with years of experience as a photographer, writer, and teacher. You really can’t ask for more than that. I particularly like the way he presents topics in small bites, usually one page per topic, accompanied by photographs of what it is he is describing. I also laughed out loud at how he occasionally drives his points home by repeating important information, hoping it sinks in. For example, on the page 028 “Which Aperture (F-Stop) to Use” he mentions f/11 at least 7 times, to make it clear this is an excellent F-stop for keeping everything in focus. In fact, that is his favorite F-stop for landscapes. Thanks, Mr. Kelby, I got the message loud and clear. He also provides excellent tips throughout that only an experienced photographer can provide. Reading the book I found myself smiling during many “aha” moments when I learned something new or read a tip I can use in my own photography. Bottom line, this book is great - 5 thumbs up - and highly recommended.

Typical Scott Kelby Book
If you have read some of the other Scott Kelby digital photography books then you know exactly what to expect. You'll get a small dose of his patented humor which you may or may not find funny. You'll get plenty of tips that could have been communicated in a single sentence but was elaborated in a paragraph which will take up a full page. You'll also see a large amount of information that has been published in his previous books so you will get a sense of Deja Vu if you have his other books. Finally, you will get some great tips and information regarding landscape photography that may help improve your results or get you indoctrinated in an area that may cause you to do more research or learning. I find that his books are geared more towards beginner/intermediate photographers with limited information for the experienced but if you are pressed for time and need a quick and easy read then the Kelby series is for you.

Useful and Succinct
I purchased this book in 2019 and have used it as a reference manual for landscape photography. Overall I found the book offered several ideas for post processing (Page 150: "In Lightroom, press and hold the Shift key, then simply double-click directly on the word "Whites," and then on "Blacks" in the Basic panel). I also enjoyed Mr. Kelby's sense of humor. It was one more reason why I read this book cover to cover. Again, this is a handy handbook for the aspiring landscape photographer.

Excellent Book
No surprises. Scott Kelby is one of the original Adobe Gurus. Having followed him for years, purchased other books, read articles, seen his YouTube videos and heard him speak at formal Photoshop/Lightroom events I was used to his writing/teaching style and humor. Many free resources exist for new/experienced long exposure photographers. Can be overwhelming. I wanted a fresh foundation so researched, found this book on Amazon. His writing is concise, edited very well with headings-chapters addressed my knowledge gaps, has recommended accessories, apps and photographers to follow. There is a section on importing photos into Adobe Lightroom, a little bit of Photoshop and editing. He included a helpful section on Astro Photography. Not my cup of tea but with his instructions and my existing equipment near future testing is likely....

Scott Kelby Comes Through Again
I've always liked Scott Kelby's writing, and have many of his books on both photography and post processing. "The Landscape Photography Book" is another success, and makes it easy and interesting to learn more about improving one's landscape photography techniques. Each lesson subject is given a short, detailed summation, and everything is kept well focused and right to the point. This method keeps things interesting and holds the reader's attention; I believe it helps the reader retain information as well. Even if you've been photographing landscapes for years, this book is a great way to refresh your memory and increase your level of interest. Highly recommended.

Awesome Reference
I wouldn't call this a book you will read from cover to cover. It is a reference. Pick a particular type of photography you are interested in and read that section of the book. Really, if your an experienced photographer, you are just picking up subtle things to do differently that will make a big difference in your photos. That is what happened to me. A couple of small things I did differently and the end result was much much better. Everything you need to know about any type of landscapes to shoot are covered in this book and he give you post processing tips as well enabling you to make great photos. If you want to, really want to learn everything there is to know or need to know, read this book and go out and practice what is in here. Because as we all know when it comes to this stuff, practice makes perfect. Go out and shoot!

Un ottimo testo, che ho apprezzato per il taglio molto pratico. È scritto in un inglese chiaro e scorrevole. È un po’ come avere al fianco l’autore in un workshop fotografico, che spiega con semplicità i vari passi da seguire.

Step-by-step, foolproof guides that cover the most popular aspects of landscape photography such as shooting the Milky Way, long exposures and post-processing. This book is ideal for beginners and intermediate photographers who want to improve their landscape photography (and I’m sure there are some tips that even the experiences pros will find useful as well!) The book is also in a compact size so it easily fits in your camera bag if you want to refer to it when you’re out in the field. A great book.
