Presto 04820 PopLite Hot Air Popcorn Popper

This popcorn popper has been worth the money. It's very simple to operate and pops most of the kernals, with very few unpopped. I also like that it is fast, popping a batch in 3 minutes or less. There is a convienent measuring scoop/butter melter on the top of the unit. In addition, it is easy to clean. If you are looking for an air-popper, I recommend this one. I've had it for several months and it's very consistent.

I opened the box and immediately popped a batch of popcorn. It's very easy to use, self-explanatory actually. It's amazing how fast it works once it gets heated up. The popcorn goes flying out of the machine and into your bowl, and if you have trouble with it flying out of the bowl just put a light towel or dish towel or something over the machine. Be careful though. Everything gets very hot. The popcorn and the bowl and the machine and the towel get very hot. Avoid touching anything because you'll get burned. In almost no time, the popcorn is done. it's unbelievable how fast it works. And the popcorn is good too. I melted some butter in a separate pot and put salt on nutritional yeast on the popcorn. It's wonderful. This is my first batch and I don't know how long it'll make popcorn that well, but for a start, it's excellent.

I was using a cast iron frying pan with a little oil in it but this is way better. Also better than microwave popcorn. Makes super fluffy popcorn, no burnt kernels, more kernels fully pop, and of those few that don't pop, some stay in the machine so they're a little easier to separate. Seems to be just as fast as popping them on a stove top or in a microwave. I find that it can help to tilt the popper back a little so that unpopped kernels are less likely to get blown out, especially so with some smaller kernels such as white popcorn. Once the chamber fills with popped kernels, they tend to hold the unpopped ones in the chamber. The measuring dish is sort of effective in melting butter but some remains unmelted. I put the yellow dish in the microwave to finish the job but the hot butter melted the plastic. Bad idea.

Love it. Perfect size, very well made, heats up butter perfectly. I especially like the cord wrap! This is not cheap plastic— very thick plastic, solid and sturdy. Cleans up nicely and quickly. Totally happy with this purchase!

I've had this popper for nearly 10 years at this point, purchased in 2017. It still works great after all this time. It has popped 8lbs of popcorn nearly every month for the last 5 years and still runs like new. I originally bought it as a backup for my vintage popper, which still works. This one is smaller, faster, and more consistent so it became the go to popper. I like the thermal switch that shuts it off if it gets too hot. It automatically resets once it cools down which is quite handy. For the money this is probably the best small appliance I've ever purchased.

Great purchase better then the one I had.. this one is a lot better quality and still going strong it just pops right in a bowl.. Pops great popcorn

A tremendously terrific little machine. I recently entered a huge popcorn kick. Where I was eating popcorn everyday. The fact that I was able to eat popcorn and not be drenched in fat or butter is incredible. There is a little tray on top where you can put a piece of butter and it will melt as the popcorn pops and then you can pour the butter over the popcorn afterwards, but this seems to be very optional. I never melted butter in that little dish. I just popped the popcorn and it came out wonderful every single time. There's always maybe five or six popcorn kernels left over, but if that's all that's left over out of a half a cup of popcorn kernels then that's brilliant to me. I would highly recommend. I got the yellow one because it was the cheapest one out of all the colors.. not sure colors really matter to me as long as they make delicious popcorn. 5 out of 5 Stars. Highly recommend. And actually highly urge you to eat popcorn as it is a full grain snack and has all its nutrients. Thanks!

My son loves popcorn, and I didn't want to be using the microwave ones. I'm 47, and have fond memories of a neighbor whose family used to watch a lot of movies in the late 70's and early 80's, and would invite me over. They always had popcorn, and for the last several years, were using a hot air popper to make it. So I thought I'd wax nostalgic and pick one up to see if they worked well. This one I had mixed results at first. The old ones I remember from my ancient youth had air outlets that spun the kernels around like a cyclone, rather than doing what this one does, and blow hot air straight up. So I found that this has a tendency, when the first few kernels start popping, to send up a bunch of unpopped kernels during the beginning of the popping. As more kernels pop and the chamber fills, the unpopped ones finally stop coming out. It's amazing how quickly it runs through them all though once it's going. The statement by the manufacturer of the speed of popping is NOT exaggerated. And it's amazing how much popcorn that measuring cup they have will make when it's filled to the fill line. I've since learned to NOT use anywhere near that much, especially when making it for my 10 year old son, who doesn't go through THAT much popcorn in a single sitting. The top does get quite hot to the touch. My trick is to have a small bowl or cup that I hold under the opening to catch those unpopped kernels when they start coming out at the beginning, and once the bulk of the popcorn starts popping, then I let it go to the bowl. I wish the opening was pointed more downward, since towards the end, I usually get things flying out horizontally across the kitchen for the last bit of popping, much like the first few do at the beginning of popping. Nothing more startling than having the hot kernel land on your bare feet... But again, some judicial use of something to "block" things in the late stages as I do in the early stages alleviates that problem. All in all, while it's not perfect, it DOES work well. If you work around those issues that crop up, it does its job well, and quickly. Now I just have to find a good butter or oil sprayer, and a good salt to use.

Awesome popcorn popper. Works as described. Popcorn some times gets stuff once they really get popping which requires you to unclog the popcorn to prevent burning.

It's 120V. Does NOT work in the UAE. It's not clear at all on the product description so I went ahead and ordered it only to return immediately.

Product Is Good But, For India Power Supply Volt Should Be 230 Volt. And This Product is Having 110 Volt. This Is Reason Which I Felt Sorry After Purchasing This Product.

Aufpassen !!!!! Ich hatte diese Maschine gekauft für den gebrauch in Deutschland ! Das klappt nicht auch nicht mit einem Adapter !!! Um diese Maschine nutzen zu können braucht man einen Konverter der die Voltzahl runterregelt !!! Ich bin sehr enttäuscht und kann diese Maschine keinem empfehlen der nur deutsche Netzteile verwenden kann !!! Ursprünglich wollte ich diese Maschine zurückschicken lassen aber es hätte mich weitere 21€ gekostet.....!!! Absolute frechheit sowas für Deutschland anzubieten und dann noch nicht einmal einen passenden Konverter mit beizulegen !!!!! Absolut KEINE kaufempfehlung meinerseits !!!!!

Compré esta máquina de palomitas y, sinceramente, no puedo recomendarla. 1. No tiene botón de encendido/apagado. Hay que conectarla y desconectarla directamente de la corriente, lo cual es muy incómodo. Alternativamente, hay que usar un adaptador con interruptor. Esto me parece inaceptable para un electrodoméstico. 2. La tapa superior es inestable y constantemente se mueve o se cae, lo que también resulta bastante molesto durante el uso. 3. En cuanto al resultado, no puedo decir que haga palomitas especialmente buenas. En mi experiencia, no hay una diferencia significativa frente a las que se hacen en microondas. Es la primera vez que utilizo una máquina de este tipo, así que no sé si esto es común en esta categoría. Sin embargo, según mi experiencia personal, no quedé satisfecho y no la recomendaría.
