They are beatiful and do exactly what they are meant to do

The media could not be loaded.  I have bought other coasters of this type that work great. I know how they are supposed to work. These are terrible. I can't even begin to understand how all these people write reviews saying how well they soak up water. Really??? We must have got different ones. They look great. That's it!!! They do not soak up water on the surface at all. When I pick up my glass it is stuck to the coaster and the coaster falls to the floor. They do not work like they should at all. It has something to do with the paint on them.Do to the fact that they do not work at all I decided to experiment with one. I figured there is no sense in keeping them out to use if they don't work. Who cares if they look good. I prefere function.So I sanded the finish off the surface. Yes I got rid of the nice look. Guess what, it works perfectly now!!!!! Yes it is plain. Looks like natural stone. Completely plain looking, but completely functional!!!!Now it works like it should.So to those who say they work great I say you have never owned ones that really work properly. There is no way they can soak up the water from your glass with all that paint on there. I will sand off the finish on the other three so that they work as they should. So much for looking pretty. Once sanded they look fine. You would never know they had anything on them to start with.Video uploaded for proof !!!

These coasts are far more beautiful and unique than the picture on amazon details. I decided to go with fence in the mist coasters because they remind me of my Papa's cabin I used to visit as a child, but not since we lost him back in '97 with his dance dance revolution addiction. Bless his soul.When I get all nostalgic with the cabin memories rushing back to me and I start to cry, I just grab a coaster in each hand and hold them under my face to catch and absorb the tears. Works like a charm! I ordered a second set so that I can always have a couple extra for drinks when I have company over.Overall great product, highly recommended!

I don't know if someone who was house sitting for us knocked one of our coasters on the ground, but one of them ended up with a crack down the middle after having them for approximately 6-7 months. Before that, I liked them and they served their purpose... but next time I'll probably buy some that won't break if they fall off a short coffee table.

These coasters look even better in person. The fence pattern is interesting and the muted colors would fit with many colors or style of rooms. My husband even liked them, commenting that they weren't flowery and girly for once. The diameter is quite large to fit a bad aim with a glass or the largest coffee mug. The soak up quite a bit of water keeping it off the furniture and your clothes. They don't suction to your glass when you pick it up. Good quality at a good price.

I probably would have purchased a different style. doesn't really absorb moisture.

I am a sucker for black and white photography. I saw these and knew they would look amazing on our new frosted glass desks. They look just like in the picture. They have the typical cork on the bottom so they don't scratch furniture, but stay in place, and have a ceramic-like material on the top. I had one glass sweat and it collected the water well.

These are pretty. I got 2 sets of 4 each. 3 of them have a small chip on the top edge of the image but it's not too noticeable. They do not absorb water very well. It pools on top. However, I haven't seen the water run off the top yet so it must be absorbing some.

Fine..just don't like the decoration ...but will keep them.

One star for being a coaster, one star for being decorative. But I expect a lot more from Thirstystone products. So far this coaster has failed to absorb even one single drop of condensation.

Just what I was looking for
