This worked a treat. I was suffering jumps on most of my CDs, even new ones. I couldn't see any obvious flaws on the discs so I thought I'd try this before I bought a new player. Saved myself a few hundred quid, no problems at all now. Takes a few minutes to run it through the player, very easy to use and highly recommended.

Do the job quite well, but some instructions would be useful

Bought this because my CD was popping and stalling, and I hadn't cleaned the lens for ages - CD player was unusable. Instructions were simple enough: you have to put the disc in the drive and then hear the on-disc instructions. Can be difficult if the lens is as mucky as mine was, but persevere! Use a pin to piece the bottle: put a drop on each of the brushes then insert the disc. Track 1 will say 'go to track # for more instructions for your language (track 2 for English). It only takes about 1 minute. The first run of disc cleaning showed some improvement but was still not too good. I removed the disc, put on some more drops of fluid and tried again. It worked again, was better but still not brilliant. Simply (especially if your lens is as messy as mine was) it takes time! I ran the disc, with more fluid each time, for about 10 runs, and now my CD works fine! Much cheaper than having it repaired or replaced! The moral is, don't expect miracles on the first usage, be prepared to use the disc several times, and don't let your lens get filthy! I will now use the disc to clean all my CD drives every few months. Conclusion? I recommend it. It is cheap and works. PS my player is a BOSE Wave with 'post box' slot - the disc pops in okay and out too, but can be fiddly to insert or eject, but again, don't give up , just follow your machines guide how to shift stuck discs.

This was the usual CD type laser lens cleaner, two short brush tufts let into a CD, on which you apply the supplied cleaning fluid. That's the first problem, the liquid just runs off like water. On inspecting the brush tufts, they do not appear to be of a material which would soak up the fluid. You then play the CD, and the brushes clean the laser lens. After several passes, I found some improvement, in that some CD's which wouldn't play before, now did, but not all, but it did show me that it was the cleaning of the lens that was needed, I put some of the cleaning fluid on a new soft cotton bud, and manually cleaned the lens....guess what...success! My good quality, but pretty old CD player now plays everything again. 3 stars for the liquid...not much for the disc.

Cleans cd lens perfectly highly recommended

For me did not work at all. In fact I used this and the CD unit still kept saying not readable. Took the CD player to a repairer who cleaned the lens manually (Nothing else required) and worked perfectly. I can deduce therefore it cleans poorly if at all!!

This did work after a few try’s, the CD are not braking up like it used to. If the CD are not playing right, this CD cleaner would Be ok.

Worked perfectly in my car CD player, which was refusing to read CDs. Followed the voice instruction and it was working again in less than a minute.

Ho comperato questo prodotto supponendo che il mio ultraventennale Pioneer lettore Cd - audiocassette e radio avesse la lente sporca, dato che a volte leggeva e a volte no i Cd che inserivo oppure saltava la lettura di alcune parti di un Cd che poco prima aveva letto correttamente. Meglio spendere 5 euro e 10 che oltre cinquanta e passa per affidarlo ad un centro di assistenza per una eventuale (se possibile!) riparazione. L'ipotesi era giusta. La lenta era sporca. Ora il lettore funziona perfettamente. Il contenuto della confezione acquistata consiste in un disco di pulizia, in un flacone di liquido e in un foglietto in varie lingue, compresa quella italiana. Le istruzioni vere e proprie vanno però ascoltate direttamente dal Cd. Sono brevi, in varie lingue ma non in italiano. Ho utilizzato le spiegazioni in francese. Dopo aver forato il beccuccio erogatore del liquido, ho fatto colare una goccia su ognuna delle piccole spazzole presenti nella parte inferiore del Cd di pulizia (si vedono nella foto). Ho inserito il Cd in uno qualsiasi dei tre alloggiamenti per Cd del mio lettore e l'ho avviato. La voce in francese mi ha inviata alla traccia 4. Qui la stessa voce mi ha detto di ascoltare finché non sentivo un "bip" e a quel punto di andare alla traccia 11. Così ho fatto. Una volta avviata la traccia 11, la voce dopo qualche secondo ha detto che la pulizia era terminata e potevo continuare ad ascoltare la musica inclusa nel Cd. Ho tolto il Cd di pulizia e provato vari Cd. Ora funziona tutto. Perciò non posso che consigliare ad occhi chiusi l'acquisto.
