Excellent Iron.. Very little to not like about it.
I am over all very pleased with this iron. My old, very cherished, late 50's Presto Iron developed a major problem and blew a hole in the ironing board as the cord went POW!!! TG I wasn't in the room when that happened, or much less holding on to it... You know? Anyway.. The hunt began, as lots has chanegd over the years. I love the retractable cord and the large flat base. This makes it much more stable when you stand the iron up on the ironing board, or off side to cool or soemthing. I used starch during the first ironing and didn't even have to clean the soleplate; absolutely nothing stuck or eneded cleaning. I am glad they had an almost periwinkle blue.. purple on the blue side is my favorite. The iron is of course lighter than my original, so a bit more pressure was needed to iron mm new curtains before hanging.. This iron is also from the second school of thought behind steam irons, where it does more of a shot of steam with the secondary spray option, instead of the constant steam to which I have been accustomed these last 30 years.. This is just fine, and is actually more economical. The iron gets hot almost prestissimo quickly, so there is verey little wait time. I love the special finish the soleplate --it just moves so easily over the fabric. The Iron itself has only a 1 year warranty, but the soleplate has a 10 year warranty on the finish.. This was a major selling point for me. My only rteal complaint is that I like a heavier iron.. so.. 8.5 out of 10 to y'all.

Such a Great Iron!
I have long used a rechargeable iron. I enjoyed the novelty of it, and I actually had no complaints, but my current sewing room set up makes cradling the iron in the charger a bit ... scary (will I burn myself?). So I decided to go back to a plug-in iron. Oh, I wish I'd done this years ago. It's hotter, so it works faster. The steam on this baby is incredible. It heats up so fast! I could not be happier! This iron is highly recommended!

Great Product, but Lacks Some Attention to Detail
Great product. The manual was very clear on how to operate it accordingly. Having a long retractable cord is definitely my favorite feature. Despite its size, it's very light and it's overall a fine product. My only complaint would be regarding the build quality. The steam buttons seem a little worn out, and the surface finish looks a little rough in some areas. Otherwise, it's an amazing product

Nice iron
Great iron! Durable & worth the money! The only thing I dislike is sometimes the cord winds too quickly but it’s nice to have the cord stored inside the iron.

An iron that works
Ok. 7 months in using this iron and so far all is going well! Cannot say the same for other iron models I've used. The reviews on this site were extremely helpful in sorting through all the options. Use this iron weekly to iron men's dress and oxford cloth shirts and cotton pillow cases, duvet covers. Steam is strong and iron does not leak. Recommend.

Great for clothes and quilting!
The Hamilton Beach iron, not the digital one is great! I was skeptical at first because I already sent back an iron with a top brand name, but I plugged it in and it akes a tiny bit longer to heat up than my quilting iron, and I like that it has an on/off button. It has a pointed tip with a plate edge so you can iron around buttons or when opening tiny scant quarter seams on 1 1/2” blocks. I have no intention of putting water in it since I use other sprays, so Icant speak to that feature. As you iron, it doesn’t glide like my favorite Star Wars iron, but it’s good enough. There’s a tiny bit of a drag, but that is being knit picky. I got it as a back up iron, but it graduated to the upstairs iron.oh, I do love the retracting cord.
